Super RMN Bros. is a collaborative community project where members of the rpgmaker.net website use the Super Mario Bros. X engine to create Mario levels. These stages are refined and compiled into one big game at the end of the event. This is the third installment in the series, and the first to be managed by halibabica. The game mimics the physics of the Mario games of yore; specifically Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World.

The game requires SMBX to run. This website does not provide illicit programs; we only condone their use. Google is your friend. When you've obtained the engine itself, unzip this game's download into SMBX's 'Worlds' folder. Run SMBX, click 'Start Game', and you're ready to play!

The Plot: Mario, Luigi, Toad, Peach, and Link have stumbled into RMN's Pit of Challenges, where they must gather stars from the worlds created by our users if they ever hope to escape. With 110 levels to explore and 150 stars to find, they have their work cut out for them!

Ready for Download!

After nearly three and a half months, this thing's ready and available to play!

The main download is the normal version of the game. It has star requirements for higher worlds, mini-boss, and boss levels. The extra 'unlocked' download removes all star requirements except those for the final level and leaving the pit.

WHO MADE "THE UNREACHABLE STAR"?!!! Seriously!, I demand the head of the person responsible for making that god awful abomination of a level!!! 179 Stars! 1 more to go & you have the nerve to give me the finger & troll me with that stupid @$$ time limit!!! (Nice song for that stage BTW) No midpoint! 1 mistake & I have to do it all over again?! And I have no control over who I bring in or bring in any power-ups?!!! Seriously! You know how many times I threw my controller into my hallway over some of those levels?!!! And all that goes to waste because someone decided to troll us all by misnaming that last star, should be called "The Impossible Star!" by F.U.2!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! I WANT THAT LAST STAR!!!

So try not to get too antsy; I'm sure none of you have found all 180 stars in this game yet. ;P

I got enough stars to exit the Pit. It stopped being fun long before that. Lots of good levels, but also lots of annoying ones. Plus I played most of these while we were just testing stuff, so I'm all SRMNB3'd out. I've moved on to Talking Time Bros 2. Gonna see what I can learn from those guys.

That one?! The one where if you screw up once you have to leave the level to try again?! The one where you have to land & jump again to extend your flying range, with the 3 coin rings where you have to pick the bottom one or you're screwed?! That was your level?! And you have the nerve to troll with the idea of adding a time limit?! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
See, what I recommend to people who want a more structured format is - contact the people you might want to work with and form a team to make that mario game. You don't need RMN to organize that for you! (That's what I did when I started Mario vs the Moonbase and that's what Deckiller did when he started Super Doki Doki World. it seems to work out ok)

I've been saying this for more than a week.
If only I weren't so terrible at organizing these things. I lose interest in 80% of the projects I start, mostly because I realize that the premise isn't good enough. We need an idea that's really, really great.

I'm not much of an idea man either. More-so when the idea needs to be a good one. I'm of the opinion that you don't really need a fantastic idea to make a good mario game: Just enough creativity to make levels that are entertaining all throughout whatever game you make. It doesn't have to be a long one (In fact a shorter one is probably better).

I'm already in the middle of something. It's SeeEEeeecret.
It stars one of MY ( as in, *I* came up with it) favorite villian for SMBX
(also my only one) Hopefully I'll finish the demo soon.
But i'm sure this isn't really the place to really talk about that is it?
Well, I know if it were me I wouldn't want to work with just anybody. It would have to be someone who has proven themselves as "good" and has similar ideals of overall mechanics and details. I would say you should discuss it privately to avoid any embarrassment haha People tend to invite themselves into the projects when maybe they aren't welcome? Just a thought.

I have my own SMBX project on the back burner and I couldn't bear to let someone else make important decisions. It's MINE, but Kentona can make some levels if he wants :P
