For what it's worth, I found absolutely zero bugs on my playthrough. I was impressed.
My biggest gripe wasn't with mapping or storyline, either. I really didn't like the grindyness of the later battles. There wasn't much to do in them other than mash attack, heal occasionally, and sometimes activate a special or a spell for marginally more damage than a standard attack. I think either de-emphasizing the gameplay or at least bumping up the amount by which weapons raise the attack stat would do a lot to improve the game.
