After a bit of a creative block mixed with ADHD fueled work on another title, I'm back to work on Picturesque. With the review that I got telling me that there were a plethora of bugs, I have fixed those and got to work on actually pushing the game forward, which I am. I have decided to extend the house portion further than I had previously, so when I release the next version, you will be getting some character development on the NPC girl who you met at the end of the demo, story development on the killer and the mansion, a frantic race through the woods, and a slog through a dark underground sewer system.
I'm looking forward to see what everyone thinks about it!
I've also decided to not make the background story a necessity to the game. This means that you will be able to go through the game and not pick up any of the story, simply surviving the experience, but that isn't any fun! I'll be putting a counter in that, when the game ends, will tell you how many story items you found in a */* fashion.
