Yanfly's Ace Core Engine script (along with some other scripts) have been added to Infinity 3. This means some huge new upgrades. First off, boxes and stat screens will look much neater. No more numbers and colors flowing into other bars.
But the big news, Infinity 3's resolution went from 544x416 to 640x480. And the animation FPS rate went from 15 FPS to 20 FPS. I3 looks beautiful at the new resolution. Much more to see, and more details are popping.
New screenshots, as of now, will sport the newly updated resolution and fixes.
Also, now the player can have..
-More than 99,999,999 gold.
-More than 99 items.
-More than 99 levels.
-And, stats can exceed 999.
This literally means you could be battling monsters, and upgrading your army of characters forever. If you want excellent stats across the board, it could take awhile. This adds more replay value to the game.
Now for some even bigger news. Back when I was working on Infinity 2, I tried to work in the ability to update the game with expansions. It sort of worked. But with RPG Maker 2003, your options were limited.
With Infinity 3, updates will happen once you update your copy of the game (by overwriting files). But what if some things don't update? What if you wanted to start over, with the new features, but keep your stats, cash, and other hard-earned items? Well, thanks to Game+ Mode, now you can.
Not only does Game+ let you replay the game with some of your things kept from a past save, but it also works an updating feature. This brings Infinity 3 even closer to commercial quality.
