Story:
A scientist known as Evan has his own hobby of exploring places around the world. Rumor has been told that a treasure is hidden somewhere on a very rare island that is said to be hidden deep within a fog so thick that not even the eye of a deaf captain could see it. As the young scientist prepares to sail out in the sea in hope to find the hidden island, a greater evil awaits them that neither Evan or his companion are aware of. Will this treasure hunt turn out as it was expected, or will a drastic wave change the course of this adventure?
World:
The story takes place on the ancient island of Strombidge. This island isn't the normal paradise you'd travel to on your vacations, this is the island that's so well hidden that no one's ever found it. The story also takes action in a place beyond reality. Is it a dreamworld, or is it a paradise? Is it even real? You'll have to find out about that yourself!
Gameplay and Mood:
The gameplay takes place in 2 different worlds! On the mystic island, Strombidge and inside the floors of The Castle. The game is meant to be fun to play, exciting, emotional, scary and challenging. CO3 will deliver an epic mix of both reality AND imagination. So if you're the fan of games based on true reality or the fan of the games that are surprisingly imaginable, stay on, this game might do the trick for both of you.

- A mysterious castle filled with over 9 different worlds to explore!
- Exciting and climactic story with twists!
- Fun gameplay with a good mix of exploration, battles, puzzles, scenes and more!
- Well mapped areas with beautiful, creepy, mysterious and unique atmospheres.
- Minimap system that displays in your upper left corner which you can turn on/off at almost any point!
- Secrets! Hidden arrows, items, skills, bosses, rooms, side quests and all kinds of goodies! Gives the game a good replay value.
- A challenging difficulty. The game requires thinking, rather than repetitive
button mashing.
- Two endings! A good and a bad one.
Estimated game length: 30-40 hours.

Howdy! I'd like to dedicate this post to all of you who have decided to give CO3 a go. It's been really wonderful to hear from so many of you that you've enjoyed the game so much, even though it's my very first game. Seeing CO3 alive and active today is a great and motivating treat that keeps me going and exited to develop more and more games. Thanks for everything, guys.
Another thing that I would like to mention concerns the latest game I'm working on. It's called "Cold at Heart" and even though it may not look like CO3 and the CO1 Remake for that matter, it's still pretty similar. Like the Castle Oblivion games, Cold at Heart is at its very core a dungeon crawler.
The game is inspired by games like Super Metroid and Resident Evil and features fully custom graphics and a soundtrack (composed by myself). You can check out the game by clicking on the following logo:
Please note that the game is still in production. The demo available is currently in its Alpha stage, so any potential bugs, or errors are most likely going to be fixed for the full release.

I tried the links to the first two games and got file not found or some such thing. is there any other way to get them?
I'm afraid you'll have to ask Kelarly himself for those links. If I still have them on my computer though, I might upload them and give you a link when I get the time. A for now, you might have to wait a little, since Kelarly isn't too easy to get in touch with nowadays... :/

Speaking of progress, I completed the last floor about a week ago. I'm currently editing/polishing the previous floors of the game so I can start the grand finale with nothing else in my way! I just hope I can fix those 2 bugs I've found... :/

Great work Mango! I'm waiting for the full release. I'm really hoping you can change your title screen to that animated one because it is more "professional" and more unique. Keep on working dude and so proud of you too. This will be your first complete game! :)

@Zachfoss: Aww thanks, Mango! As a matter of fact, I just changed the titlescreen a few days ago and it looks MUCH better. It's a mix of the animated and non animated, kind of. I might make a video about it soon, because I have tons of stuff to show, but I don't really know what people want to see from the game. Man, I can't wait to make the trailer, releasing my very first game! I dream about it everyday! :D

I think Kelarly might return someday. He's been making, what is it, 6 or 7 games? I think if anyone deserves a break, it's him. Funny you asked, I was actually supposed to make FD2, a long time before Kel mad it himself, but I cancelled it due to several reasons.
Anyways, thanks for feedback! I can't believe how nervous I am now when the game is finally reaching it's end! XD

I just edited the post and noticed that I had "Europe" written as the game's location! Haha, I removed that and actually some cutscenes I had in the game that was about it. The game's world and location is now entirely fictional^^

A week ago he messaged me about being busy and other things. He's currently still testing but he doesn't have the time for it, I guess. He'll be back before we know it. Hoping he can get it done by christmas, since he'll be on his christmas break.
I don't see Castle Oblivion 1 or 2 on RMN. The download links I found using Google were dead. Does anyone have a download link for them?
