The bosses were a bit drawn out, but some of those trash mobs made me mad. Also, everyone's normal attacks are a little too weak I think.
At least the fire staff and Nobumasa's 'throw egg' abilities deal decent damage and don't waste MP. Before I started using them, I was getting a little frustrated with the damage output.
Not too sure if I was doing anything wrong, though.

Oh cool, you're still going! I'll have to watch these when I get home later today.
Your videos are definitely quite helpful for me since they allow me to physically see someone playing, so I can quickly and easily determine where regular players may experience problems. This beats regular feedback by miles.

Good to hear~ :)
My only problem is trying to upload the darn things, lol. Everything else is pretty smooth.
Good videos!
1. The Moahadmal Gear is only effective in the pyramid.
2. You missed some items at Palumpu Post when you were speed-mashing your way through dialogue. The captain inside said that he'd reward you if you cleared all the monsters.

Oh yeah, during the Dio fight you seemed confused that Elina was nailed for 650ish by a shadow attack which later hit Vahn or about 400 less. It's because Elina is weaker against shadow attacks.

Do other characters have elemental weaknesses/strengths?
Bosche is a little weaker than others against shadow as well, and another character is weak against holy. You'll know who it is immediately when they join.
I recorded Segment 4, and god do I love how fast it takes to edit and compress these videos :D
Now In my last playthrough, I was spamming dragon-force normal attacks with Vahn, and either using Happos, or the fire staff for the mages.
How does dragon force work? It doesn't seem like a buff- it doesn't show up to my knowledge. Does it last forever, or will it go away?
Also, does the fire/ice staff have increased power if the user has more magic? That thing is sexy, and I'll be one sad panda if it becomes useless without unlimited ethers.

I'd have to check on that stuff in RPG Maker, but I can't do that at the moment. If I recall, Dragon Force should boost Vahn's attack by 70 points or so (not of damage, but just the vigor stat).
Don't worry about having no ethers, you can buy them eventually. I just forget when they start to appear in shops. It might be in Lindblum (the continent after the one you are on).
And those staves will be plenty useless once you start getting better spells and weapons.

Okay.
The ethers will make up for it :3
You sure do miss a lot of things skipping the dialog like that. When you were fighting that ghost in the pyramid I was like: "Did he equip the whatever sword? did he? did he not? he defiantly didn't XD".
But damn you're funny, I give you that. I'm playing the game while half watching your videos, just for the heck of it. I laughed so hard when you got caught in the sands of doom. That's exactly what happened to me ^_^
I really enjoy myself.
Edit: Also, one great way to deal damage in the game is to use the Dragon band accessory as an item (like you do with the fire staff). it casts Dragon Force, which makes the bosses in the game (and some of the more annoying monsters) much easier to beat. You can actually get this item on a couple occasion, I think.
Edit 2: Also, don't count on Esuna for the wierrrrrrd flower cave. Esuna uses 10 MP and it sucks Elina's MP too quickly. Just buy at least 30 Antitodes and some anti berserk and anti mute items.
