This is my very first RPG Maker Game, I admit that it isn't a cool or excellent
Game, It's just my very first one and I am still learning how to use the RPG Maker VX Ace. And I must say that my game has almost no Storyline, but I did make an Final Boss and an Ending Event; Please try the Game at least, I just want to know what other people think of my Game is all. But, like I said this is just only my very first Project and Game and I am still learning how to make games. (I will also accept any Pointers that people wish to share)
So, at this time there is no story. So, you can just walk around the world and do what ever. (I'll try to write an story line for my next game)

Official Game Blog (and Download page)

About the Blog:
This Blog has allot of Info, all updated for this Game. (It's just easier to update the Info via Blogspot, so all Updates will be on this Blog)

About the Game:
Just Walk around and kill random monsters, since there is no story line. Just try to get strong enough to defeat the final boss, and earn access to the Toxic Crystal Chamber located behind the final boss. You touch the Toxic Crystal and the End Credits will roll, you can save the game and then you'll return back to the main character's house.

Characters:
Rocky Lincourt the Earthen Serpent
Age: 23 Black Belt class
The Main Hero of the Game.

Roxie Rosario the Toxic Fist
Age: 23 Black Belt class
Some random character, with an really strong punch.

Sir Andy Lincourt the Royal Minty Knight
Age: 20 Spell Blade class
Rocky Lincourt's younger Brother.

Ally Daniel the Holy Cleric Sister
Age: 21 Priestess class
Rocky Lincourt's younger sister-figure, and Sir Andy's Girlfriend.

Motoko Flintwood the Earthen Flintlock
Age: 26 Gunslinger class
An Earth Spirit with an magical Flintlock that can deal Earth Damage.

Important NPC Characters:
Blair - Blair is the Voice and Face of the Game's System dialog, anything having to do with the game's system will be said by her.

Death - Death is an immortal, he shows up in my game with on task on his mind. And that would be reading the Words on the Gravestones to you. He appears at all of the graves with an blue flame before them.

Well Dennis,
Like I said this is my first game ever, so I am actually still learning how to
work RPG Maker VX Ace. So yeah the game isn't perfect. So it is what it is just an very small project. I used this project as an Learning experiment.

Thanks For Your Input,

OK, I'm honestly not quite sure what you were going for with this. Everytime I start to play this I think, 'oh this is just a mish-mosh of events, and there's nothing really to do'. But then I read the things you've written and then realize there's something I'm supposed to do.

Since it's your first game, I'm going to give you pointers on what is 'required'.

1) Play lots of video games to absorb their progression. I'm talking about old SNES ones. You can pick them up at the Wii store for 800 points, or find an emulator (I like snesbox.com) and just play them. Take notes on how games progress. Starting your characters off at level 20 or whatever with NO introduction is just insanity - unless you have a purpose. I honestly felt like this was your biggest downfall, nothing progressed. Characters didn't grow in personality, nothing got harder/easier. There wasn't a direction to go next... total lack of progression. I personally map everything out with a Gantt chart; and review it so I don't lose focus.

2) Give the player a sense of direction without force-feeding them. Some sort of instructions are helpful. You spent the time to program Blair, couldn't she have been helpful in more places? It seems like after I left Toxica, she just wanted to save the game.

3) Learn the tool. Learning switches is EVERYTHING. I couldn't do anything programming wise until I learned how to use them. See: http://rpgmaker.net/tutorials/312

4) Everything has to have purpose. Just built that huge room? don't leave it empty, put something in it worth the player's time. You have a shop, is there particular items you want the player to buy? Get rid of the other things that have no purpose.

5) Mapping - it has to be done right. I thought you did a good job mapping! but then I realized you used the freebies that come with the game. You're going to need to make good original maps sometime. see: http://rpgmaker.net/tutorials/620/ on how to do it right. Learn the 3 square rule.

6) Last but not least - have a buddy play it.... alone. If they can't figure it out, no one else can either. A play tester will help tremendously! Get someone you can trust - someone who won't just stroke your ego - or the opposite - tell you you suck. Someone who can provide constructive feed-back.

Anyway, Happy Programming, What will you come up with next?

PS - Please keep the Cheetos currency; it was the best part.
Too Easy.
Make it harder.
Don't have the characters start at level 20 and how about an intro.
