It is now that you say that I do see lord of the rings in there. But none of the names or anything are from lord of the rings well I don't think so anyway. ^.^

Not bad... The key to a good looking, easy to read world map is contrast and I think you got that quite well. But there are two little details that bother me. The less serious being the difference in the paper texture between land and sea, and the other being how painfully obvious is that you made the 'worn-out' borders with just strokes of a brush or the eraser tool. =P

Yeah it is quite obvious now that I look more at it but it is my first serious world map so I figured there would be spots for improvement. ^.^

I've seen that map style quite often around here.
What program do you guys use to do these?

Well for this one I used good ol' Photoshop but a template that if I remember correctly Celina made sorry if I miss spelled her name. I don't have the link but i'm sure if you Google it you'll find it. ;)
