World Crafters v.10.1

The Most Complete VX Game

layney, 08/29/08 08:07 AM

This is a review of V.9 and as the game continues to change from version to version, this may be outdated.

I have followed this game on other forums and it has grown by leaps and bounds. This latest version I've played on and off for the past month and I have to say I am impressed.

After completing the main quest I was 20 hours into the game and there were still nooks, crannies and secrets to discover.

What makes this game really fun are the side things, the quirky things like reviving dead bodies, treasure hunting, getting insulted and embarking on strange adventures to scary places. This game is worth your time, even if there are no fancy scripts or gameplay that will blow your mind. It is just a simple old school game that is hours of fun.

You can tell many people made this game. Some areas are better looking than others, but the reason why I like this is each region has a different feeling and aura to it.

The mapping is beautiful except for certain moments, but it is just a blip and you are done and over with it. Most of the caves are maze like and you really get a feeling of the true detail and complexity of some of these places.

For the treasure hunter in all of us, there are always plenty of treasures. Big, small, useful, and quirky. When I got to use a magic 8 ball in battle, that was pretty quirky.

This game most resembles Morrowind for an old school RPG. A game where you can kill guards, then revive them, then kill them, a game where you can ask for rumors, information, get quests, reputation and other fun things.

All of this considered, this is probably the game for VX that will give you the most enjoyment for the most amount of time whether it is completing the main quest or getting lost doing side quests or doing puzzles. Thanks for reading.
