COMPLETE VERSION!

A young scholar and his master arrive in a small village in the north of the lands. They are not welcome but are not planning on staying anyway. Just gathering supplies for the journey ahead, whatever that may be. But there is something about those two that is very strange. It feels like the weigth of the world rests on their shoulders...

Welcome to the land that will one day be known as Estopolus. An as of yet unnamed continent, filled with villages and towns, rivers and forests, surrounded by oceans, mountains and a vast desert. This is not a coming of age story. It is not a story about a group of friends or some chosen heroes. This story is about the journey more than anything else.
It is a classic JRPG in a sense that you do gather your allies to fight off evil. It is not so classic in a way that it does not feature a huge world where you visit each place once and then forget about it.
You will visit the same place multiple times, meet the same people over again and you will come to learn and memorize the same places, as you re-traverse them with new friends and old enemies.
In the end, this is YOUR land as it is YOUR story...

Final Version Released!

So for the release something weekend I decided to release the final version. It is not as polished as I wanted it to be due to the slight rush I had but its complete and does nto really require much work. Some bugfixes or finishing touches. I probably forgot something since I always forget something but that counts as bugfixing/patching, right?

So download and review the FULL game, now that it is done. The current review is mighty fine but also very old :)

good question. i think playing through the entire game without prio knowledge will take at least 4-6 hours. probably more...
Estopolus... Strange, sounds a lot like the Lufia series' Japanese name Estpolis.

But you are right, it does sound similar. And I know the name since I am a fan of lufia. Fun fact is, the story that originaly had me use that name is not in the game anymore. it will instead be told as a seperte story, a spinoff of sorts named Bahamut. Funny how things change over development, but nice catch :)

The summary certainly sounds interesting. I already subscribed last week. If you need another tester I would be happy to oblidge. I've tested two campaigns that were made for FreeSpace 2 SCP. While I've never tested an RPG before, I believe I have a good idea of what to look for.

So there's tons of towns, villages, and other populated areas on this continent and nobody ever thought to name it? That sounds a little crazy.
Well, they named their regions, like countries. That is not crazy at all. They just did not care to name a land mass with a lot of countries, where some dont even like each other, under one giant banner. why would they?

I have lucia the fairy and the fairy flower - in the northern swamp the boulders won't move to let me pass to get to the switch - any help - Thanks - and good game so far !
The boulders need to be moved this way:

I would like to know the answer to this as well. I know that this is just Part 1, but the ending seemed surprisingly abrupt, so some confirmation on this would be good to have.
that is the end, yes. the autoprompt for save is in case you havent saved in a while because (hopefully) you can bring your savefile over to part II^^
good job in giving bats passive blind debuffs on their normal attacks.. are you trying to discourage people from playing your game? its hard navigating through the forest when you get blinded and have a limited supply... by the way are chests that were opened, close again after going to another map then coming back..
a box in the graveyard passage in the hidden village is bugged!.. if enter is pressed to push it, it will stick to your hero and will follow him but it disappears when you finish a battle..
thanx for the info. never noticed that. both mistakes will be fixed! also, no, chests once looted stay looted. thanx again!
has anybody finished the game yet? cause if yes please tell the developer the glitches you've found.. i think this game has potential if polished properly..

p.s.. please make experience gain from monster balanced or make some stronger ones so that my heroes can level up.. i was level 13 and when i get exp from the mobs in the swamp they gave 100-200 exp (rough estimate) but my exp to level up is like thousands.. and please remove the bats in the ogre dungeon, lol.. annoying to encounter, gives no exp and money yet takes a lot of time to kill..

cant give any other feedback though I'm stuck at the bugged box.. i think i can't proceed because i need the box to press the button to open the gate.. i tried
loading an earlier save but still the box sticks to my heroes butt.. here are some ss, sorry no time to edit it got to go to work..
