Rather than say, get another section of Oracle of Askigaga complete, my thoughts have been to focus on this game until it gets complete, with the rainbow-text* and everything!

Though, saying that, there's probably going to be some event (events?) between when Shizu arrives back at the news office and going to the "one place" (no nudge-winking here, folks!) where her search for truth ends. I've a few ideas that involve hacking (I still have plans to use the lockpicking sub-system for this) and making a similar (if not the exact same) reference that was made in Myriad Cypher. Which, in turn, was a reference to a short story I wrote long ago. What can I say, I love cross-referencing my own material!

The question that might come to mind is if I have some kind of time-table, or approximation for when this is going to get done. I don't necessarily have a time-table, but, I think it's possible to have this done by the end of the month. Maybe early next month, if a Week of the Event (Heroes of Might & Magic reference), or something like it, occurs.

Done by the end of the month? Like, the whole thing? Woah.

I'll be looking forward to it, Marrend! Good luck!

I had a few vague ideas last night of doing the final release blog in the style of Masako's a graduation speech. I don't know if it would make the "best blogs" list, or be anything other than a cute (if not mildly appropriate) send-off. However, I need to focus more on the actual game, not what I can do to celebrate it's completion!

Events and dialogs up to the point where players visit Matsumori High have been implemented! Kinda wanna test all of that stuff before mapping the place.

Though, as I may have mentioned, I am somewhat concerned about the mapping of both Matsumori Highs. They certainly aren't going to be in pristine condition (I expect to place cracks on walls and floors), but, I don't want to make it look too obvious that I'm limiting where players can explore. Probably. I guess we'll see how it all turns out.

Tomorrow, though! I've done enough game-dev today.

Allow me to speak briefly of the fight against Masako-senpai.

First off, let's get this out of the way: It's not supposed to be winnable. The combination of Predict, Never Die makes her as good as invulnerable, and Judgement should do exceptionally high damage, thanks to her gargantuan INT.

As for when she joins the party, I have a few qualms giving players access to both Never Die and Predict. However, it was already done in Okiku, Star Apprentice (sub-note: Ryoko had these skills), not to mention this is goddamn Masako we're talking about. I mean, her skill-set would be reduced to three skills, rather than four, but, Darigaaz, the skills she gets!

*Edit: As an aside, I'm trying to figure out why Predict occurs on Turn 2 for these battle-tests when the condition is "Turn No. 1 + 3*X"? I guess it ultimately doesn't matter, as Judgement seriously wipes boards (as it's supposed to), but, it's kinda nonsensical to me.

Speaking of the battle against Masako, I've been thinking of her battler graphic (again). There is a huge temptation on my part to take her Heartache incarnation, and go with that. Maybe those graphics are not how she dresses in this particular game (I should look at BDFalcon's and/or Kevincalanor's custom parts packs), but, I do prefer the accuracy in how she looks in a general sense.

Spoiler:

I can do the same thing for Joruri's battler, but maybe not-so-much Goho's? There is a male tachie generator that I've been made aware of, so, that might be a thing to look into for him.

Yes, I'm confirming that you fight Joruri and Goho, and Masako legitimately gets pissed at Chojiro for brainwashing them.

*Edit: Or, I use Pink Elephant's graphics.
