One pole may be perpetually tilted towards the sun if the planet wobbles on it's axis.

Actually, from what I've read, we are in a rare point in Earth's history where both poles have ice caps!

Also snow happens in places with high elevation, not just at the poles

Yes, the tallest peaks are covered by a layer of frost as seen by satellite images.
The snow line should be about 15,000 ft or 5000 m high in the equatorial regions of
Earth like the (Himalayas / Andes) mountain chains.
I wanted the equatorial regions to be distinctively warmer.

Polar regions aren't colder because they are farther from the sun. The angle at which sunlight touches the surface of the planet plays a larger factor.

WITH THAT SAID, cool map. It does not matter at all where you put snow. It's your game.
