Great Arcade Fun

Going into this game I thought I was going into a hell fest of me getting my ass kicked. I was pleasantly surprised upon playing this game that while the game keeps an arcade feel, it doesn't necessarily keep the arcade difficulty.

(Early levels will be easy.)

In this game you control a space ship. You fly around collecting "space junk," which in turn gives you points. When you collect all the "space junk" a portal will open and you can progress to the next level. Though you need to contend with enemy spaceships on both the top and bottom of the screen shooting at you. In addition to this there is a timer. You don't need to rush through the level, but you certainly can't doddle.

(Be prepared for harder levels later.)

The visuals and sound fit perfectly with this game. I feel like I'm back in the arcade playing a classic.

(You get a final score at Game Over.)

The difficulty progression is perfect for those not used to playing this sort of game. And you get to save every 10 levels, though there should be an option to save more often. Perhaps options as to how often you save can effect how many points you get. I mean you could even have a mode with no saving! Also there is no number at the top of the screen telling you which level you are on, which is common in arcade games. Overall I give this game a 4.5 / 5.

Thanks for the review! I had meant to put in a save point just before the final level, as I think that level is insanely hard - but maybe that's just my old hands failing to react fast enough. I am glad you enjoyed it!
