I'm starting to see those face sets used everywhere lately. For good reason though. They're good. And otherwise underused :3

Also, that monster is badass. Is it an edit?

It's from an RPG that never got released called Treasure of Rudras, from Squaresoft, it's a pretty awesome RPG, and i'm sad it never officially came here.
Actually i am noticing a lot of rips from that game being used in his game.
Yeah I am trying to mix it up a bit in regards to that.
This look great except for that font man, it's all stretched and anti-aliased and shit, gotta fix that up. It looks like every letter was converted to a jpg before being used.
There's nothing wrong with the font, it's the way it's being rendered by the engine. Lots of RMVX games do it. They blend certain colours together, but they end up blending the black from the character borders in with the white from the characters and it ends up making the characters look like they've been washed in a jpegblender.

Zoom in on the upper-case L (which is a pixel too thin but whatever) and the C to see what I mean. Those lines of grey shouldn't be there. I don't know if there's a way to fix that in RMVX.

I shouldn't have said "stretched", since it isn't; it's just an illusion given off by the weird blending.
Not sure where the font is from, but looks good, looks original to me as well.
And about my last comment.. i was not nitpicking or being an ass about the fact you're using rips, it was just an observation, i just wanted to be clear about that.
I noticed this site has a lot of people that nitpick silly things like "it looks just like bla bla bla, and all you did was bla bla bla" ugh.. i hate those comments.
People been using rips and doing franken spriting for years now.. since before the days of RPG maker 2000, and there is nothing wrong with it, and it looks good.

Also.. about the comment made before, there is a way to get the sprite not to be stretched and anti-aliased, you gotta find that sweet spot, where it scales perfectly so it does not do that.
It looks to me like the font should maybe be around 18 in size.. maybe.. hard to tell. But play with the font size, and you can make it look more crisp like.
I know cause i have a secret project in the works, and i had to mess with font sizes to get low rez fonts to look right scaled up in the higher rez.
If you might want help of any kind (though i can't help with scripting) lemme know, i would not mind lending a hand... just PM me... if you want i mean.

I'm using those faces too with my own twist on them to resemble Final Fantasy IV or VI portraits and some of them are more edited than others. I'm also impressed that you're making a retro-style game with RMVX Ace.
