Over the Pacific-1944
A great classic brought back to life!

Over the Pacific-1994 really brings back the arcade feel that many enjoy! While this game was not completely made by Game Over Games, but rather edited from the version made by Mark Overmars, it still sets itself apart from the original.
A few new features have been added to Over the Pacific that were not originally there. The title screen, to name one, was quite well done, and fitting to the game. Personally, I think it would have been better to be navigated with the arrow keys, but the simple mouse navigate able menu does it's job just fine. The rest of the features of this version are found while playing the game. Things like new weapons and power ups really add to the game's playability factor.
However, having thrown those things out there, this game is still but an edit from someone else's game. While many things have been added or redone, the general game play remains the same. The score given to the game in this review reflects such.
So, all in all, I give this game a 3.5/5. While I can say that I did enjoy going back and playing a couple of times through, what with the missiles and machine guns, it remains quite similar to both the arcade version, as well as the version made by Mark Overmars.
Good job adding more fun to the already amazing classic!
