DP2 - Valerie's Letter is a subscenario focusing on Valerie and her endeavors before the arrival of Cory. While being stalked by a mysterious power, Valerie wakes up in her room to another day of hopelessness. She is surrounded by a ghost town, and the only beings she knows exist around her are the violent, overprotective spirits of her siblings.

Valerie has no idea what to do with her empty life. A strange presence lingers in the depths of her damaged mind, forcing her eyes to see horrible things that defy the reality Valerie is familiar with.

She tries hard to endure this strange force within her each day, until one day she receives a strange letter from under her bedroom door. It is signed by her close friend, Leah, who lives in a large mansion nearby the Bhamen Village. In this letter, Leah summons Valerie to her for reasons unknown.

Valerie, carrying new hope that her life is not completely demolished, goes on a desperate search for answers.

DP2 - Valerie's Letter features firearms that can be used for long-range fire and melee to conserve ammo (which can be very scarce). It also features a new difficulty system! Would you like a challenge or an easy playthrough? It is now your decision. While you will encounter familiar monsters, their AI has been upgraded, giving them new abilities and tactics. There are also new monsters to encounter in Valerie's journey and several other aspects that have been modified to make this installment a greater experience.

If you have not played Death Proclaimed 2, it is recommended that you do so.

Messed up Starting Position!

It has been three months since the release of the latest version of this game and no one mentioned that the party starting position might be kinda messed up? JESUS CHRIST this is embarrassing.

Please, if you tried starting a new game and wound up spawned in this weird room immediately, download the newest version that is being put up right now. Thank you for your time and sorry for the inconvenience.

b4 starting this is the only game of the DP series i have played

phew...i just finished. this game wore me out. at some point i just used the guide for everything as some events were just plain frustrating
that aside i still for the most part enjoyed the game
and highly recommend it.

everything below this line is subject to contain spoilers
Plot

among the long list of things i hate in this world, stupidity is one of them. and a few of the puzzles aside that made me feel this way...even tho i was on easy!
the plot literally revolves around stupidity!
2 family's in some small town decide hey! we want power! why? who knows? theres no reason for it!
but there greed sends them into doing black magic and such.
until demons and other crazy things become reality...i think? the ending leaves you with a "did anything i did actually happen?" kind of feeling.

Gameplay

No turn based battles here! you have melle attacks which are infinite but not effective if you wish to avoid dmg on some enemies
and a gun with limited ammo! : D
outside surviving the demons that are around the town
you have puzzles which can be easy or difficult depending on the player and what of the 4 difficulty's they set it too(above easy you probably will need to go online for information for somethings)

Character

Valerie-i have so much respect for this girl for not only surviving what she had
during the course of this game but seeming to have any remote lvl of sanity left.
i consider myself above the average person when it comes to the ability to handle morbid things
at least visually anyway but if i was her age and somehow survived these events w/o question id of been scarred.

we really, unfortunate as it is tho do not get alot of dialog from her specifically. so figuring out her personality may take some guess work.

What i did not like or even hated

outside of all dark stuff doing on
-puzzles that require knowledge from outside of a game
-occasional lack of saves
-the vent area
-the end game dialog auto skipping
-making the flat coin (this is not hard its just traveling a long distance back to a room you could of already did it after you just came from there was messed up)

Closing
again i will recommend this to everyone who isnt considerably bothered by dark/bloody concepts
while its not really my cup of tea i enjoyed this and it was really well made.
