Woo! The deluxe version hit 1000 downloads earlier today! Sorry, no picture this time.

We all want to extend a huge thanks for playing this game. It's great to see that both the contest and deluxe versions are getting their share of love.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for reading, thanks for playing, and thanks for all the support you've given us ever since this page was created. You are amazing!

This blog reminds me that I had a thought a few days ago that you guys should bring this over to RPG Maker Web. Is this a consideration, though?

I never thought about that. Certainly sounds like a good idea, though...

Post a crosslink to here, that way you can still keep track of the download count. After all I'm sure everyone there would like to play the deluxe edition too.

Definitely! Since it's more forum-based, linking to RMN gamepages in various places is exactly what I've done. I'm sure I can drop a somewhat relevant example...

Very relevant. :)

One of these days I do have to get around to playing that game, everything I've heard and Cash's hysterical review makes it a must-play.

Oh, man, the anticipation is killing me!
;_; I can't even start up the game. Seems all VXAce games crash before I can even play them. *sigh*

I've read that quite a few people have had the game crash on them on startup. Can you send a screenshot our way and we can try to figure it out?

I have the same problem. The process stops responding as soon as I launch the game. Other VXA games work fine, though.

I'm gonna look into this. Sailerius, Yuna, and anyone else who's having the same problem and wants to pitch in, let me ask you some questions:

1) Are you playing the Deluxe version or Contest version? Or do BOTH versions crash?

2) If you haven't tried it yet, could you give the Contest version a shot? If it still crashes, let me know.

3) What operating system are you using? I haven't heard of any problems Windows 8 may have on VX Ace games, but there's a first time for everything, you know?

4) Are you playing it by clicking the execution file? Or are you opening it up in the editor first? This may not be relevant, but I'm just trying to get as much information as possible here.

5) What exactly happens when it crashes? Do you get a specific error message? Or do you get something like this:

Actually, I can't even open up the VXAce editor ( whether its the Steam version/regular download ), and it seems that every Ace game gives me that problem ( RGSS Player has stopped working ><). My PC seems to hate Ace ( I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate, 32-bit ).

I think this is the killer, right here. You're using a 32 bit OS. According to a quick Google search, VX Ace games don't work with 32 bit OSs without some adjustments. I found this page. Hopefully it helps.
This page also has some decent tips, although I'm not sure how helpful they will be.

whether its the Steam version/regular download

Wait, does that mean you have both the Steam Version and regular version installed? Try uninstalling both and only installing one version. I'm not sure it'll help, but perhaps they're causing some sort of interference?

The only thing I know for sure is that VX Ace and 32 bit operating systems mix about as well as oil and water. Sorry, Yuna.

1&2) It happens with both versions.
3) I've tried it with two machines, one on Windows 7 64-bit and another on Windows 8 64-bit.
4) I'm running the executable, yes.
5) That's exactly what I get.
