So I've been very lucky and my color theory professor has been letting me work on this game for my projects, (and I'll be able to work on it for my final project which we get 3 weeks to complete) so I'm thinking the game will be finished sometime in March! Exciting!
Also you might have notice that all the images have been changed. This is an update of what the game currently looks like. Overall there's been general improvement.
Lastly I need your opinion! Which game over screen do y'all prefer?
Hmmm... I think the first gameover screen is prettier, while the second one feels more dire. It's close, but I think the second one works better as a gameover screen.
I'm for the first one as it uses color palette closer to overall feeling of the game (What I can see from screenies).
Maybe I would try to combine the second one with the yellow ground of the first.
Cap is right in my opinion. I like the first one a lot more because it's hard to read the text in the second one. I just think the greater contrast makes everything easier to read.
Thank you all for the feedback! I think I am going to go with one as it does match the pallet better and is more readable. Also I got some friends and they said they liked the first one better since her eyes looked more glazed over in that one.
As long as I never see it in the game I'll be happy...but yes though late to the party the first one works better. Also the second one looks lie she's lying in a pool of blood and this isn't a horror.
Well better late than never! I am in fact going with the first for various reasons. Your right about the red looking too bloody/horror-y. Plus any deaths in-game don't involve blood so the second one gives off the wrong impression.
