Squid! is a VERY SIMPLE game I made on Renpy. Actually, it's how I learned how to use the engine. Play as a talking squid named Cue, who gets caught in a net and meets the handsome fisherman of her dreams. But is there more to this story than fishy romance? Probably. You'll have to download it to find out!

This game has 3 endings, two bad endings and one good ending
You should be able to finish the game within 10 minutes
If it gives you a laugh, or puts a smile on your face, my job here is done

Here's what people are saying about Squid!

"I personally think it had a really, really deep meaningful story to be told. It tackled some serious adult themes . . . this is an educational moment and we are hoping to establish a kick-starter and make this curriculum for all high schools in general because this is big, this is huge. We've stumbled across the meaning of everything, in Squid! I need to go let the creator know that {she} has blown my mind" - Evilkinggumby

"Ho-Leigh-Crap" indeed.
The lack of music is fairly jarring, but it's a .. amusing read I guess. Although I detest all that yolo-crap, the character made good use of it. I suppose others would laugh more about it, or I would if given more time.
Cue has a certain Pom-feel to her. She is a little bit irrational, feels she is right with everything, but is also fairly amusing while she is at it. The bright pink suits her .. and the simplicity of the warm backgrounds is helping this crude, cute critter.

The fisherman is left rather vague. He does not get any portraits, either.

And while the game itself is diliberately senseless, the outcomes of your choice actually do make sense.

Thanks for playing my game again! It was my first game on Renpy, thus lack of music and such. It was kinda Pom-inspired ^^ glad you found it all "amusing"

That was interesting to say the least. It made me smile though so I'd say you accomplished your goals! I wish the art was more polished, like if the background behind cue had been transparent, but for a test run of renpy I suppose that doesn't matter.

Edit: Also like Kylaila said yolo based types of humor usually irritate me but I felt it worked in your game, probably since the premise was so awesomely out there.
