The Final Countdown

I am happy to report that all text is now edited and in game. Barring the last-minute edits that are sure to crop out despite the fact the script has been through three people and four edit rounds, I can share the final statistics:

The game contains 3,166 dialogue blocks, containing 56,648 words and 297,263
characters, for an average of 17.9 words and 94 characters per block.



Art progress continues at Maki's usual lightning pace and remaining CGs have been cut in half to a measly 9! The next 48 hours should see drastic leaps towards the finished game as they represent our last two work-free days before release. The goal is to have a build finished by the end of that time to have ready to start testing on Saturday.

Finally, tomorrow we will be starting a countdown towards release which will feature one character each day.
Let us know which characters you would like to see first.

Oh, and you might have noticed I tweaked the css a little bit yesterday. I'm still not very good with it and it's not all that exciting, but I think I'm happy with what I've managed to do with the page.

I really like the CSS's colour scheme. It's nice on the eyes.

I'm not gonna request a character because I wouldn't mind seeing any of them. I'm interested to see what these character profiles will be like.

I'm not sure if those hearts were in the background before, but they look really good now. All the best for releasing it on time and with sufficient testing.

Judging by file dates, I actually added the hearts within 24 hours of the gamepage going up. I thought it was at least a couple days later. Shows you how great my memory can be.

The image for tomorrow's is already drawn, but the text is still to be determined. Knowing Maki, I'm pretty sure she has something in mind.

also wow it's been amusing seeing you guys develop (gams and gam-mak ability) over time. i remember the years of all noses being acute angles....
Ah yes... My stubborn self who was so sure I would never change that style at all. Comparing this to older stuff (*cough*EtherealDreams*cough*) is like looking at fluffy clouds VS razor blades.

The chibi/cartoony style is fun and fast to work with, but it'll be fun to go back to working on something that's a little more serious when this is done.

Also Gunn! Somehow I had a feeling--- I'll be sure to save him until last then. =u= (joking)
