I have some more new stuff to announce, hopefully you will like these changes.

  • Difficulty Select


Yay new option!

Pretty basic, you get to choose how you want your play-through to be. You do not get to choose in the beginning, you are automatically set to the normal difficulty. However you can go in the menu and then to the system options and change it there.

Although, I recommend you change it AFTER the tutorial battle with Gardo if you're starting a new file, because you will stand no chance against him!

You may change it anytime you like, the harder it is, the more loot and exp you obtain! The lower, the less.

FYI, the save file you will receive will be set to normal.

  • Balance Changes


BOY I SURE DO LOVE ITEMS

Holy crap Demise was filled with item sparkles. You obtain some rare items very early! This will not do!

So I decided to tone it down, by a lot. 75% of the item droplets were removed, while some were replaced with less rare items. Also stat buff items are no longer obtained on map!


Stat buff items can be obtained as rare drops by certain enemies

You can only obtain stat buff items by defeating enemies! Each plant is a rare drop from enemies. Not all, of course. So you won't be ridiculously overpowered!

Speaking of overpowered, enemies have been buffed! Their MAT and MDF were VERY low and can barley lend a scratch when you get stronger armor! So now even when you get some armor, enemies will still be tough!

  • Re-Making certain maps



Every map is just this in Mt. Volcanic

Mt. Volcanic is lame. Every room is the following:
1. Jump over stuff
2. Fight enemies
3. Next room
4. Repeat above

I'm changing it, it needs puzzles! That's one problem with Demise, lack of puzzles.
Dungeons are not interesting since they lack depth, it's just get from point A to point B, with a optional boss in it.

Mt. Volcanic will not be the only one getting treatment, some other maps will get treatment, like:
1. Military Quarters (Too much space)
2. Pathway to Great Tree (A bit empty at times)
3. Trial Room (NEEDS PUZZLES)

  • Other Small Updates


These don't really need a explanation, just simple updates.

1. New Battle theme and Inn theme

2. New Battle transition


3. Bug fixes

4. State animations

5. New icons

6. More side-quests

7. Some enemy sprites changed

That's all for updates! For now possibly.

News

1. If you noticed, this game has two testers. Starving_Waffle and Zeigfried McBacon.
However, my friend Starving_Waffle is not responding that much and I believe he doesn't seem interested in testing anymore. Or that's what I think.

So Starving_Waffle won't be testing anymore and I'll proudly accept more testers.
(Malleo if you're reading this, sorry DX)

2. I did it again! I requested someone to let's play my game because I noticed a thread, you probably noticed already but you can watch her play through Demise here (She's three parts in at the time of this blog).

3. The new version release may take longer than expected, I'm having small troubles like school and motivation. Though I will try my best to finish the version!

Thanks for the compliments! I'm glad you enjoy it!

Now for the testing, this is my fault but I havn't really set any requirements.

I'll type em here:
1. Need to search for bugs and grammar errors (big and small).
2. Search for pass ability issues.
3. Need to go through a full playthrough of the demo, so it will take a while

I constantly miss bugs and grammar errors, so that's why I have testers to help.
