Upcoming Updates and News #2

Ya I guess this will be like a series of blogs since I will most likely have more stuff to show.

Now making these blogs more frequently is beyond me, though perhaps more will come.

Well let's get started.

Upcoming Updates


  • Updating certain cutscenes


As I did my 16th playthrough of Demise, I noticed a couple of things, "wrong" with some cutscenes.

They're rushed, not much character interaction is had. This is unacceptable.

Here's a run down of one cutscene:


Gardo: You're getting better at things.


Main: No I'm not (missing punctuation)


Gardo: Spelling mistake, let us fight.


Main: Oh nooooo...

Pretty lame, I shall update these cutscenes to add more interaction. I also need to give more character to others like Fern, Robert and John. Poor guys...

And probably the one cutscene that got questioned the most was the first boss battle scene.

  • Why doesn't Vamp join you?
(I didn't add him in the battle because I thought it would make the first boss too easy, even though he is pretty easy to begin with).
A lot of people asked that, though I had some more questions when I looked back.

  • Ain't an Asura a demi-god?

  • That sprite looks awful (not a question but still a problem).


So I fixed it, Vamp joins the fight and the boss is switched to a Minotaur.




  • Boss Rematches


This one is pretty straight forward. At the end of the demo you can enter a new area that allows you to rematch any boss of the game.

However, they're more tougher than before to watch out!

I'm having trouble of thinking what the map should look like however so no screenshot at the moment.

  • Purple Crystals



Money is what gives me strength!

Another thing similar to what Radiant Blade had. Instead it's another crystal and it gives you less stuff than the puppet does.

These are hidden around the world, find one and you get to choose one of those four choices.

Power gives you 2 Power Plants.
Protection gives you 2 Guard Plants.
Money gives you 100 Gold.
Items give you 3 Potions.

So choose wisely!

  • Other Small Updates


1. Death animation for bosses.


2. Re-organized item's (Water won't be below every single items).

3. New cutscenes after Velato's introduction.

Mt. Volcanic and the Military Quarters

Military Quarters

Here's the Exterior of the Quarters (Big).

Please ignore the two Ferns, thank you.


It's much bigger than last time, the old was was a bit small and crowded, that's why I made it bigger.

Not every room has been changed, but most of them were. Some were kept like the Captain's office, Soldier Room, Kitchen, etc.

If you noticed on the third picture, there is a pair of stairs. Yup, more rooms! (Only two but it's something!).

Mt. Volcanic


Entrance, easy torch puzzle.

One of the many puzzle rooms, this one was suggested by NTC3.

Mt. Volcanic now has more puzzles which makes it feel more like a dungeon! It has more rooms but not every room is unnecessarily huge!

The next maps are Pathway to Great Tree and Trial Cave. Hopefully I'll get them done soon.

2. I know I listed the requirements in the comments in the last blog, but I decided to post it here too.
If you want to be a tester, here are the requirements:
  • Search for bugs and grammar mistakes, big and small.

  • Full playthrough of the demo, might take a while.

  • Search for pass ability issues.


I constantly miss grammar mistakes and small bugs so I have to patch the download multiple times and that can get annoying.

Keep in mind that it will take a while in till the next version is out so you have time to think about being a tester.
