Like Legionwood? Check out the sequel! http://rpgmaker.net/games/3811/

In production since 2007, Legionwood: Tale of the Two Swords is an epic length traditional role playing game created in RPG Maker VX which was completed in late 2010.

Featuring accessible, familiar gameplay reminscent of the early Final Fantasy titles, Legionwood offers you a 20+ hour long quest set in a massive fantasy world filled with challenging enemies, involving quests and tons of character customisation options with the in depth AP Character System.

The world has been at peace since the Great War ended 1000 years ago. Now, an ancient antagonist is ready to set in motion a plan that has been in the making for centuries. Take control of Lann Northshire, an ordinary peasant who is unwillingly thrown into a conflict that will soon engulf the entire world. The fate of Legionwood hangs in the balance. Will you be able to restore peace to the land? With a thrilling story of love, revenge, war and peace, Legionwood is an adventure that you won't want to pass up!

Featured Game!

A short, sweet update: for those who don't know, Legionwood is RMN's featured game this month. I didn't know it was coming, and was pleasantly surprised when I logged in today and saw it on the home page. So uh, kudos to me, I guess?

Anyway, I just want to thank everyone who has played and supported the game (especially those people who provided useful feedback) over the course of its development and the couple of years afterward. Your comments and suggestions have shaped the game and helped me make it into what it is today. Keep on playing and remember to drop a line if you have any thoughts, because an update is never out of the question. I worked on this game for nearly 3 whole years and it was a huge part of my day to day life once. For giving me the chance to see it succeed, I owe you one :)

So celebrate this occasion by giving it a download and playing it through, if you like. Thank you once again, and keep an eye on Legionwood 2, which I am slowly but surely plugging away at. There is plenty more old school RPGing to come!

Hmm... That's strange. I think I'll upload a new version fixing that, though it shouldn't be happening. After you defeat Merces, don't go back in the throne room. Head outside and go to the ship instead.

Also, there's no Quest Menu - that's the name I gave to the actual menu.

@love_bump: It seems one of my testers must have removed the actual fight for whatever reason. Doesn't matter though, I'll fix it.
Hey all, I'm uploading a new version as I type this!
Thanks for the new download! It works now.

I can't seem to defeat Termius xD maybe he's just super hard to defeat but I think I sat in front of the screen for half an hour now.. xD
is there still a problem with rmn downloads because when i download it says the file size is 66.1MB but its say on the download page that is 69.4 MB
Just started this one. Love it love it love it!!! Exactly what I was looking for!
finished it, liked it, good job, is there a sequel in the works?
duz friggen terminus die? I've done atleast like 100k to him already....

Edit 1: yea yea he'sa immortal... he wun die... if ur gunna make a boss u hafta lose to... could u plz make them a lil stronger? I mean srsly... he's pretty easy... or just make another one that's the same and is unstoppable.
Hmm... Well when I played, Terminus was pretty powerful. He wiped me out pretty quickly. My balancing's pretty much based on how hard I find the game at a given time. What level were you? That dungeon is designed for a party around Level 25.

@love_bump: Nope, downloads are fine now. The file size under the download link has never worked.
Around level 24 and 25. Well I didn't manage to defeat him in the end but the story progressed from there xD

I can't seem to find Aldagard Archepelago wherever I sail xD I'm trying to find the Pin of Zenith.
It's the group of islands in the centre of the map. One of them (laregly mountainous) has the Shrine of Hate on it, though you need the Sword of Lore to open it.

Is it the island with a tower and a port that I can't enter unless I go around to the forest?

Updated with parts 6-12. Same link as before.
Thanks Craze, checking out now, and rubyrinx, no that's not it. Sail northeast a bit more. It's quite well hidden. Has a small ruined tower on it.
I found it, thank you!
Also I think I found another bit of error I'm not sure; I tried summoning the tablet shard for horus but a popup came out and said ''unable to find graphics/character/_1.''
uh wtf? what the hell does this have to do with the game?
Nothing, but spammers aren't too concerned about that.
Still going strong with this game. I am in the ruins/ancient now. :)

Meh, what I did was go into Legionwood/Characters/Graphics, make a copy of $horus_1.png, and rename that copy as just _1.png. It gets Horus and his attacks to work, but you'll just see his shadow on the battlefield, not his actual sprite.

Also, I am curious as to some techs listed in the shops as unteachable. Osmone and Hypothetical Hit would be great to have, Feebling Cantrip sounds awesome, though I imagine it would normally cost a lot of SP or something.

Edit:

Oh, good god it's a good thing I saved after killing the Rift Entity, that thing took nearly an hour to kill. I got this error message when trying to use the Orb of Origin.

----------------

Script 'Wij_SceneTreasure' line 45: NoMethodError occurred.

undefined method 'screen_x' for nil:NilClass

Hang on, those are supposed to be learnable. Would you mind giving me a list of all the unlearnable skills so I can fix them?
