Like Legionwood? Check out the sequel! http://rpgmaker.net/games/3811/

In production since 2007, Legionwood: Tale of the Two Swords is an epic length traditional role playing game created in RPG Maker VX which was completed in late 2010.

Featuring accessible, familiar gameplay reminscent of the early Final Fantasy titles, Legionwood offers you a 20+ hour long quest set in a massive fantasy world filled with challenging enemies, involving quests and tons of character customisation options with the in depth AP Character System.

The world has been at peace since the Great War ended 1000 years ago. Now, an ancient antagonist is ready to set in motion a plan that has been in the making for centuries. Take control of Lann Northshire, an ordinary peasant who is unwillingly thrown into a conflict that will soon engulf the entire world. The fate of Legionwood hangs in the balance. Will you be able to restore peace to the land? With a thrilling story of love, revenge, war and peace, Legionwood is an adventure that you won't want to pass up!

Featured Game!

A short, sweet update: for those who don't know, Legionwood is RMN's featured game this month. I didn't know it was coming, and was pleasantly surprised when I logged in today and saw it on the home page. So uh, kudos to me, I guess?

Anyway, I just want to thank everyone who has played and supported the game (especially those people who provided useful feedback) over the course of its development and the couple of years afterward. Your comments and suggestions have shaped the game and helped me make it into what it is today. Keep on playing and remember to drop a line if you have any thoughts, because an update is never out of the question. I worked on this game for nearly 3 whole years and it was a huge part of my day to day life once. For giving me the chance to see it succeed, I owe you one :)

So celebrate this occasion by giving it a download and playing it through, if you like. Thank you once again, and keep an eye on Legionwood 2, which I am slowly but surely plugging away at. There is plenty more old school RPGing to come!

I checked the green switch and it was doing that because it uses the same switch from the Rift Monument instead of a new one. Just redownload and you'll be able to pass.

@Idida: Glad you're enjoying it! Not the best game sure, but I think it's decent.

Yes, it works now, thank you. Time to finish this.

No :/

Script 'Trick_CaterpillarSys' line 200: SystemStackError occurred

stack level too deep

I swear I closed down the game and restarted whenever I pressed F12.

I'll finish this tomorrow I guess. I am happy though that the final boss was killed in 6 minutes. Alexis doing double crits for over 4000 damage each plus the poison damage over time and some other things made pretty short work of him.
Hmm... That Stack Error shouldn't occur. Those errors are sporadic, when you try it again tomorrow, it'll work fine.
Go, go ostrich algorithm!
Well... I have a strange problem: I'm stuck in a city!!!

After I've beaten the bone dragon I went on the ship and now I can not exit the city... my sprites get stuck at the real exit and so I can not move... Is the purpose of this game getting old there and die of a peaceful dead as a fisherman? :D LoL
Either this is a game bug or I'm blind as a bat, but I'm stuck in Klaim. When I try to go north it won't let me. I've talked with everyone. I see no other way out. Help. I have the latest version.
"stack level too deep" is a scripting error caused by aliasing methods that have already been aliased at a particular point during game start up. That is to say, it occurs BECAUSE you hit F12. Unless DG knows how to correct this, you have to manually close and reopen the game.
Also had this problem Twice now the game has hung up on me - meaning the characters go whatever direction they want as if an arrow key is stuck. Last night it happened as I entered the mine. Now again it did the same thing right after I entered the new area that opens with the three gems. And my arrow keys stop working. Last night only the left and up key worked. Tonight only the up key. I had to get out of the game and shut down my computer to get the arrows to work again.
what is the password to open the gate at the ice cavern?
right after u push the blue switch?
@S.F: I am slowly but surely fixing it, but in the meantime, as it says in the game's intro, do not press F12.

@AuntIggy: That would be lag. That seems to happen on computers with less that 1GB of RAM. Don't know why, but the movement locks up. Also, do you have version 5.2? The Klaim exit is fixed in that version.
My computer has 3GB of RAM so I don't think it's lag. This is the only game it's done that on. I play Aldorlea and Amaranth games along with many others and have no problem. I thought I had the newest version. I will download again. If you ever need a beta tester let me know. I've tested several games.
I've the latest version too, but I'm stuck in Klaim as well :D
Okay, I'm uploading a version with the Klaim exit bug fixed.

EDIT: Just downloaded the latest (5.2) and it is indeed fixed.
lol,im stuck at the ice cavern.. dunno the password..
after the blue switch.. help..
=s
This game is really good with the exception of a few things. First, why is there a flee option when it seldom works? Really annoys and aggravates me. Second, not enough places to save the game. Third, there is too much dialogue. I want to play a game, not read a book. It just goes on and on and on in places. I stop reading and just keep punching the space bar for what seems like several minutes until I finally get through it all. The story behind the game is interesting, but there is too much conversation.
The password is based off the graves that are nearby. Some have names... some don't.

--------------------

The flee option is mostly based upon your party's agility versus the enemy's agility. You can do the math from there.
hey antartic tiger,i know that the number is based off the graves..
it ask me to put 3 numbers to open it,but i can only put 2 numbers..
crebt password i cant unlock it plz help
Wha? You should be able to put in three. That wasn't broken before.

--------------------------

As for the Crebt password, the description of the city hints at it. Same thing as the graves, in a sense...

How do you do spoilers, anyways?
GET OUT OF HERE BOTS!
i like this game alot cant wait to beat it and play 2 when it comes out
