Like Legionwood? Check out the sequel! http://rpgmaker.net/games/3811/

In production since 2007, Legionwood: Tale of the Two Swords is an epic length traditional role playing game created in RPG Maker VX which was completed in late 2010.

Featuring accessible, familiar gameplay reminscent of the early Final Fantasy titles, Legionwood offers you a 20+ hour long quest set in a massive fantasy world filled with challenging enemies, involving quests and tons of character customisation options with the in depth AP Character System.

The world has been at peace since the Great War ended 1000 years ago. Now, an ancient antagonist is ready to set in motion a plan that has been in the making for centuries. Take control of Lann Northshire, an ordinary peasant who is unwillingly thrown into a conflict that will soon engulf the entire world. The fate of Legionwood hangs in the balance. Will you be able to restore peace to the land? With a thrilling story of love, revenge, war and peace, Legionwood is an adventure that you won't want to pass up!

Featured Game!

A short, sweet update: for those who don't know, Legionwood is RMN's featured game this month. I didn't know it was coming, and was pleasantly surprised when I logged in today and saw it on the home page. So uh, kudos to me, I guess?

Anyway, I just want to thank everyone who has played and supported the game (especially those people who provided useful feedback) over the course of its development and the couple of years afterward. Your comments and suggestions have shaped the game and helped me make it into what it is today. Keep on playing and remember to drop a line if you have any thoughts, because an update is never out of the question. I worked on this game for nearly 3 whole years and it was a huge part of my day to day life once. For giving me the chance to see it succeed, I owe you one :)

So celebrate this occasion by giving it a download and playing it through, if you like. Thank you once again, and keep an eye on Legionwood 2, which I am slowly but surely plugging away at. There is plenty more old school RPGing to come!

Yay... completed the game! Well, not entirely though... I skipped the Rift Monument part because even with all 5 Pins of Creation, I couldn't open, unseal etc the place. Was it the Zenith thing? Well, anyway, great game! I love the graphics and the puzzles, especially the number ones. It's a pity that one the main characters died, though. I wonder what happened to her after that? I hope the sequel will be completed soon :D
You will find out in time...

Um... I can't go to the AP screen.. help Please?

Did you enter the status menu and then press A?
As it says at the top of the Status screen, you just press A on the keyboard to go to the AP screen.

o.o sorry I didn't notice that.... Sorry again... Anyways anyone mind helping me where you have to guess the numbers on the statue?
It says you can change where you put your AP for free. How do you do this.
For the number guessing puzzle, Ark will tell you whether you guessed to high or to low. Start with 50, doing so will let you eliminate at least 49 numbers. Then go with 25 or 75 depending on whether Ark says to high or to low. Keep selecting a number that's in the middle of the possible numbers. With that method you should get the right number after 7 guesses or less.

To recover AP, just press left on the AP menu.

I mean AFTER ive assignd it pressed ok, and all that.
You still only need to press left. Maybe it doesn't work in an older version though. If you have anything remotely new though, you can just press left to unspend AP.
The really hot knowledge like this topic can be a ground for thesis writing service or custom dissertation and be used in thesis topics.

My version is up to date.
Hmm, it should still work if you just press left; as far as I know I didn't disable the feature as I haven't even touched the AP script since the game was released.
I've been playing this game for 20 hours now, I'm at the point where Greenvale has just been destroyed. I must say, I'm very mpressed by this game. I just love the music, especially FB001. It really shows the epicness of the battles against Merces, that Trevellian traitor and the Trevellians in Greenvale. I really love the normal boss battle theme too. Where did you get the music? Did you make it with friends or did you ask specialists or something like that? I'm currently creating a game, and I'm stuck on the music. When I create music myself, it's mediocre at most. Please reply.

Also, I might have a tip for you.
In the clash of Greenvale, the music starts all over again every time you enter or win a battle, you might want to try to find a script to keep the music from restarting.

But really, this is most certainly the best rmvx game I've played in my life! :D
I'm totally with you in that mashing the attack button shouldn't work on bosses.
Great game. Found one huge glitch. The ship is allowed to go into towns. If you go to the town Klaim on the water with your ship, the ship will go into the town. You can go back out but then it'll be stuck on the land. Was not that big of a glitch for me but it could be for someone else if they did not save in a while or saved while in Klaim o_O.
@Joroen_Sol: I can't actually tell you where the music came from. When I started the game, I told a friend I needed music and he gave me a USB drive full of what you hear in the game. I don't know if he made it, or if it's taken from a specific program. I do know it's not taken from any existing games though. You can use it if you like, just credit the same people I did and you should be fine.
The track "Fight With Castoth" was found on the Newgrounds Audio Portal.

@Lilcrazy: Oops! I'll need to fix that - thanks for finding it!
Just wanted to say I'm playing your game Dark Gaia and loving it!
hey dark gaia, just reached what i think is the final map (castoth's cradle), and since you cant turn back after going in, i was wondering if you could clear up a few things before i finish this awesome game~

1) where's that freakin key for the wayward inn in the snowy forest? ive gone through the whole world twice and never found it

2) whats that random whirlpool/bubble thing near the 2nd forge? (cant remember the name)

3) do you ever get to pass the trevellian borders? - both near the sky city and the one which contains a chest that holds a mythril sword

4) i ended up with 3 luck charms in my inventory, only remember getting 2 (one from the blue chest / man eater, and one from the scholar in makir), where did this random 3rd one come from?

5) seem to be missing a lot of monsters from the beast book. ill assume 125-134 (cept Serra) would be found in the cradle. but besides that im missing 8, 9, 10, 54, 100, and 108.. where are these monsters?

yeah, i hate being a completionist.
