It most certainly is a reference to the Shannara series. I think the Sword of Shannara was my first novel I ever read.

Paranor is the Druid's Keep in the Shannara series. Perhaps it's just random luck, but a lot of this reminds me of the world maps for that series. :)

Is it just me, or does Jomongu have the same exact shape as the islands of Japan? I like your World Map. And I thought the ones I made were too big. You just proved that mine is itty bitty in comparison! Keep up the good work.
