Uzi's drugged adventures can seem like a never ending grind-fest in the beginning, but gradually becomes better.

Gameplay

The game uses an action battle system where you have to avoid and shoot enemies on the field. Its pretty basic, but the challenge level ramps up as new enemies are introduced. Speaking of which, theres a large variety of enemies, from ghosts that cant be harmed, to speedy crows and wolves. Different enemy types help to keep you on your toes. And you might want to save often, because you will die oftem.

Characters/ writing

Much of the story is symbolic, like Patty and Mr. Miles. If you haven't gotten it yet, its made pretty obvious in the last scenes, although there's still a lot open to interpretation. And though its good to leave some room for interpretation, the game hardly explains at all what happened to Uzi to make her a drug fanatic. However, there is supposedly a second ending I didn't earn which might have tied up the lose ends. A second playthrough might be recommened, if you have the patience to mash the fire button another thousand times.

The characters themselves are't as interesting. Every character is one-dimensional, and they play a backseat to the main story. Even Uzi is an lovable, amusing, spazzy character, but not much else.

Aesthetics

The mapping seems to need some work, at least in the towns and the inside of buildings. There is tons of empty space to be used up with objects. The rest of the game is default resources, with the exception of Uzi and enemy sprites. Music choice seemed a little confusing, especially in the mines area where it changed a few times.

Conclusion

UDA can be a funny game at times, and challenging too. But for the most part you'll be shooting, grinding, and finding your way around dungeons.
