C_C'S ANIMATION OPTIMIZATION

Lower MB of an animation by 50% or more.

Hello guys.

I thought it would be a good idea to share some of my methods on how to optimize game memory for RPG Maker VX Ace.

Animations are freakin' big!

But with some small adjustments, every animation can be lower by 50% or more.

Here are some steps to animation optimization.

1. Download Riot (Radical Image Optimization Tool) at
http://luci.criosweb.ro/riot/

2. Open Riot and the animation you wish to optimize. This is optional, but you can also lower the quality to around 80 or 90%.

3. Click on "Mask", then "Blend with Solid Background". Blend the background to a black color.

4. Save to desktop and import it using the maker.

5. Here's the tricky part. You will need to reanimate the RTP presets. Otherwise, the box will be visible in-game.

And that should do the job!

I took the liberty of editing all animations to be a more reasonable filesize.

Hope this was helpful! I also created a feedback video that's similar to this tutorial.
