Life got in the way, no IGMC entry this year, it's kind of sad, but also good that I had AFK obligations that were meaningful and fulfilling.

There will always be more contests, I'm sure, and more chances. The fact that you had some meaningful and fulfilling experiences is fantastic in and of itself :D
Minno and I are determined to finish in time! We're game making furiously! Sorry, you can't finish you game, cash, but at least it was fun, right?

Also, listen to unity because unity is always right~<3

The project I was working on was very dear to me. I don't want to release it half-formed, but I will try to finish it, just not for the contest. Perhaps it's better that I don't feed my sore delusions of grandeur and just create the game that will be most beneficial for the world to see. Even though IGMC is such a great opportunity to release your game, I'm going to have to wait to release it in my own time.

I desperately want to play the game I was making. I desperately want to do it justice. But at least the game won't be completed for IGMC, so I won't have to keep it a secret that it was me anymore. I was planning to release it under a pseudonym so there would be no bias on the judges, a few of whom I know. But now that that restriction has been lifted, I can go back to showing off the few screenshots I have of the undercooked game I almost made. That's where I'm most comfortable.

I do hope I will finish, though. Maybe soon. Maybe soon.

Actually, it's a pretty bad time to release, considering 700+ other games are also getting released around the same time. Sorry to hear you're dropping out. But yeah, one month to make a game where only the first hour of content matters is a lot more gruelling than you'd expect. I took a massive number of shortcuts, and am still only really finishing up a few days before the deadline.

Well, I guess, in a way you're swamped by other entries. But I think I've played more games made in the year/time space of IGMC entries than games made during any other year, funnily enough. So it's definitely a popular time to be playing games. Rest assured there's going to be many great games coming through with this event. Two of the popular commercially released games in the maker are made for the event. The current featured game on RMN, and 3 of them in the past year, have been IGMC entries.

So yeah, there's a lot of entries but that means there's a lot of attention paid to games during this period.

If I didn't have uni these past 2 weeks and had very little time at home in front of a PC, I would've finished this easy. It's a pity holidays don't last forever.

Well, it actually isn't a pity holidays aren't eternal, because that would be pretty boring probably.
