When I talk to Laine and she gives me the climbing claws, I get this error: Script 'Game_System' line 130 Errno:: EACCES occurred. Permission denied - C:\Users\(accountname)\AppData\Local\Temptempse.dat

The game quits afterwards...

Same here.

That bug has been fixed. I just haven't uploaded the new version. We'll upload the new demo once we figure out what is causing this infamous death glitch.

I experienced the death glitch. It seems to be related to the headhunter's sickle attack. It happened twice when sickle auto-killed me (didn't do enough damage to kill me normally) and I resurrected with a phoenix down. The character that has the death glitch gets no turns in combat and enemies don't seem to attack him, but you can actually target the character and kill him again...but the death glitch remains regardless of resurrecting in or out of combat. The character gets no exp from combat and appears dead on the menu even though the characters hp is not 0. Hope that helps, this game looks awesome and I hope you guys can figure out this bug. :)

V1.4 Demo Release

The dungeon was pretty enjoyable, but felt a bit short. Witch felt a little easy, although I probably just got lucky because my healer was the first to be broken out of confusion. The optional red spirit to the right of where you enter (the one with the 6 monsters) was surprisingly challenging and I did not realize it was an optional fight at first. Banged my head against the wall a few times and came close to beating it, but ultimately came back to beat it after I had beaten the witch. Not sure if you intended that fight to be so hard, but it was kind of fun nonetheless.

Looking for Testers / New Screenshots

I really like that forging idea, seems pretty cool. I also posted this to offer to test out the game for you. I'm not sure if you have any requirements to be a tester, so just send me a message if you want. :)

V1.3 Demo Release, Name Change

Sounds good, downloading now! :)

Edit: just finished it.

I like the little details you add to each dungeon to make it feel unique and fresh (the leviathan orbs in the case of the ocean temple). I really enjoyed the ocean temple although it felt a little bit short to me. Leviathan was the first boss I didn't beat on my first attempt (his aoe water spell took out 3 of my 4 party members!) which is a good thing! I think compared to the damage he was pumping out, his hp was a little bit low but still a fun fight.

As for the dex changes, I liked it. I tried a full dex build for crit and it wasn't that viable, but I also felt that going for a pure attack build was no longer as good. Balancing some dex/crit with attack feels more compelling than before. I think the shield changes may have been slightly overboard. I know shields needed more viability, but making them a flat % reduction makes them just too damn good to pass up. The new level up stat gains are really interesting, but I wonder if they affect every level? Back when I leveled my party to 20 I was only gaining 2 in all stats, but now it seems that 2 is the low end and 4-6 is the high end. Would my characters be stronger if I leveled them from 1 again compared to my current ones?

All in all, a solid update and I can't wait for what you have in store next. If I'm not too lazy I might make a new save file to test out the new Ifrit changes, but that is a pretty big if. :)

Legionwood: Tale Of The Two Swords

Playing through this game and just got to chap 4. Loving it but thought I would mention a suggestion and a bug I encountered. First off the bug... when I fought merces I used the enemy scan to try to gain info about him, it told me I couldn't figure anything out and everything is going ok. Then, when he changed forms I tried again and the screen just flashed and the battle continued. I figured everything was good, but the next battle I fought after defeating merces I auto-enemy scanned before my first turn. The problem now is, my beast journal is bugged and it won't add any new monsters to it so now I can't scan any of the new enemies I defeat :(

As for the suggestion... I found myself wasting 30-40 minutes of my life trying to kill Terminus at the end of chapter 3. I know he said he was immortal, but when I noticed that he took dmg from normal physical attacks I thought that maybe he is a normal boss. I used blind to keep myself alive (although there were points where 3/4 of my party was dead and I just barely hung on). My suggestion would be to make him absorb physical attacks as well, and make him immune to status effects (or at least blind). The other option is he could always do 9999 aoe to the whole party every turn. :)

Just wanted to say I really like this game. The story and dialogue might drag on a bit at times, but I love the gameplay and the story is pretty good despite the drag. Thanks for this enjoyable experience. :)

So, I just found out there's a unreleased X-Box 360 game also called Dungeon Hero. I might need to change the title.

Damn, but I've grown so fond of the name... Nice picture of the "Ocean Temple" btw. Is it the 5th dungeon, because I can't wait for more to play!! XD

V1.2 Demo Release

Thanks for the playthrough. About the Ifrit battle, my old idea didn't turn out too well, so I changed it to what it was currently. I might go back one day and see if I can get it to work, but I'd rather focus on new content for now. By the way, what level was your party when you finished the demo?

I was lvl 20 when I fought Ifrit, but it got me to lvl 21. I mostly just did minibosses, bosses, and the occasional normal monster fight that I would accidentally bump into. Leveling felt a tiny bit fast, normal monsters felt mostly unnecessary.

V1.2 Demo Release

Just did Lava Chasm. Awesome design, awesome mini-bosses, only way it can really be summed up. However I was very disappointed in Ifrit. He only uses his aoe once and it takes so long to charge up it is hardly dangerous. I would suggest that instead of summoning one bomb, summon two but maybe half as often? It felt like a good thing when he summoned because it took up his turn and gave me even more breathing room. One bomb was easy to dispatch of. He really didn't do much at all... I had more trouble with the two Phoenixes before him to be completely honest. Other than that this dungeon was the best so far, just wow!! Can't wait for any other updates you got coming!

The window color changer only appears to offer 0 and 7 when you talk to her. Not sure if it is bugged or am I just missing something?

Dungeon Champion

Just finished the 3rd dungeon and will get to the 4th soon, but just going to list some thoughts on here. Black magic still feels a bit lackluster compared to melee, but drain is overpowered. It is fine if you want bosses to drain 100% but the player drain skill should probably be 50%. Leveling up seems a bit too fast. I'm sure you don't want a grindfest, but the levels fly by really quickly at the moment. Equipment seems to sell back for a bit too much. It makes replacing your equipment with the next better set not pricey enough. I'm also a bit confused by the dex stat, does it effect hit or evasion? Neither? In the latest update the dex stat seems to be gone from the status window but items still have it? I don't think I remember seeing the hit% there before so is that what dex effects?

As far as difficulty goes I feel like the game could use a bit of a ramp up.There are 9 more dungeons I haven't played yet though and the difficulty does seem to be increasing slowly which is good. I like the level of customization with the skill system, but having both mana and ap feels like it could be a bit overpowered. I haven't tried this, but it seems that throwing cure and critical strike on all 4 heroes could make the game a bit easymode. I don't think you should get rid of the system, but I just wanted to point out that possibility. (and I am sure there are more overpowered possibilities as well).

Sorry about the randomness/wall of text, hopefully you get all that. I will say there is a lot to love about this game. No random encounters, I think the dungeon designs are nice so far and the great thing about no random encounters is that you can make dungeons long without making them incredibly annoying. All in all really good and I look forward to doing the lava chasm and any future updates. :)
