JPARKER1984'S PROFILE

Hello all, my real name is Jeromy. I'm a video game fan in general, but the way that RPG's make you feel sucked in to an alternate world easily make it my favorite genre (given that the story don't suck.) Aside from that I'm a father and a husband and I work my butt of to take care of my family. I love gaming, but family will always come before anything.

My favorite game... wow, that's a tough one. I'll just list a handful that I really enjoyed in no particular order. Only a handful though, there isn't enough space to list them all.

Disgaea 3 (PS3)
Final Fantasy 5 (SNES, PSX & GBA)
Final Fantasy 7 (PSX)
Dual Orb (SNES)
Breath of Fire 3 (PS & PSP)
Bahamut Lagoon (SNES)
Magic Knight Ray Earth (SNES & SATURN)
Everlong (RM2K3)
Enchanted Arms (PS3 & XBOX 360)
Jade Cocoon (PSX)

How do I fix this weird box issue with text in my (VX Ace) game? It's frustrating.

Thanks everyone, the issue was fixed. I did what Marrend said to try.

How do I fix this weird box issue with text in my (VX Ace) game? It's frustrating.

I spent almost a whole day trying to find a good font... I finaly do, but then this happens.

How on earth do I fix that damn box issue? This font is otherwise perfect.

EDIT: Or if someone can share a good font that doesn't have this issue, that would be ok to.

Backstreet Boys "I Want It That Way" Who did the better cover?

author=Tau
Why did you make this topic in general? Why not just a status or something my god man... Originals still better, don't see the point of covers unless they add something different or just use the original as a base for something else.

Of course the original is better, I never stated it wasn't. I like covers that change it up, but not to drastically. Imagine "You Raise Me Up" in punk style... I don't think that would sound right.

EDIT: As stated, I made this because me and my friend are at odds as to which is the better cover. Not that either were better then the source material. I figured since we have some very opinionated people on here, I may get some good replies.

I've always been of the opinion that what is the point of a cover if it sounds exactly like the original?

By traditional style, I mean of the same general genre. Jason and Joseph did a more mellow and relaxed version. Ahmir obviously, did a R&B rendition.

Not bad, but I'm more a fan of the traditional route.

Backstreet Boys "I Want It That Way" Who did the better cover?

So just about everyone knows "I Want It That Way" by the Backstreet Boys, like it or hate it. I personally think it's a great song. So I found two covers on youtube. Both are great, but which one is better.

Cover by Ahmir

Cover by Jason Chen & Joseph Vincent

Me and a friend are at odds as to which is better, I think Jason Chen & Joseph Vincent did a better job. How about you guys, which is the better cover?

Tactics Blade: Episode 2 Review

Wow... this game (if you can call it that) is just, wow. I tried it myself and let me tell you Dyhalto could have been more stern. I'm never one to be mean at someones game, but there was absolutely no effort put into this this. It would be nice if the creator could at least reply. I know I personally would like to hear some reasons for his design choices.

This is simple! I'd love to see an elaborate town.

I don't know how to call a script mid game (RPG Maker VX Ace)

oh, ok I'll try that now.

EDIT: It worked, thanks.

I don't know how to call a script mid game (RPG Maker VX Ace)

Ok so I found a difficulty select script for Ace.

http://caspergaming.com/Scripts/Ace/CSCA_Difficulty.txt

I made a new event selected script in the 3rd tab and pasted in the following text.

scene = CSCA_Scene_DifficultySelect
# SceneManager.call(scene)

When I click on that event in game, nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?
