Nothing gets the creative juices flowing like a bit of music!

Case in point, using "Spore Valley", "Ash to Ash", and "Rebel Army" for McBacon Jam Game. Which needs an actual name, at some point!

2014 Misaos - The RESULTATIONS

@TheJudge: Might wanna check the opening post in regards to the "best non-RPG" category. I dunno about "best horror game" though. There does seem to have been a glut of them lately. Maybe it's just me?

Cool Looking Gameprofiles

Darigaaz, ~alter perfect~. I mean, the only thing is does is invert the page, but that's what makes it unique!

Was anyone else here disappointed with FF 6?

There were a few things that Earthbound did that I thought was neat. The "For Sale" sign, for one. The other is being able swap out plot-relevant items with a phone call. These functions don't necessarily work 100% of the time, but I appreciate the thought of having them in the game.

Fire Emblem - Fōramu no senjutsu-tekina rpg - the great revival

How about pulling up what Jeroen actually says about forests, rather than guessing?

-Forest: +20% Avoid. +1 Def. Moving out of a forest tile is the equivalent of moving three tiles for cavalry units, and two tiles for all other non-flying units.

McBacon Jam #1

@Dopplespots: Maybe try teaming with landas1? I dunno. Just a thought that occurred to me.

*Edit: Also, I think that's the other team that has one member, since jin69 hasn't updated his teaming with Link_2112 yet.

Let's work on your game descriptions!

@Prince89: Hrm. My take on that would be something along the lines of...

This game is about trading during a war. Each run you make is fraught with danger! An encounter with bandits is just as likely as getting in the way between two factions!

You play as Jo, a trader who prefers a quiet life, but is stuck on the entrenched island where the game takes place. He (she?) must earn some money to get away from the fighting. As Jo is a trader, you'll be purchasing goods in one location, and shipping them to a different location to turn a tidy profit. Certain actions will either increase, or decrease your popularity. With a more positive popularity, the bartering table is tipped in your favor, whereas a negative one will reduce your profit margin, if not outright negate it.

While you control Jo directly, you are also responsible for those underneath him (her?). Looking after them is important! For example, you have to keep an eye on the quality of equipment, and make sure everybody is fed while on the road.

Personal aside
I just started with RPG Maker and with programming in general. This game is totally an experiment for me! I'm publishing it here, because I'm doing it all by myself, and testing this game by myself alone is kinda hard! So, please, if you have some free time, take a look at this game and tell me about the bugs that you find. Or, hey, just leave a bit of feedback. I'd appreciate it!

...that. Though, I may have been a bit overzealous at some points.

Anyone else participating in Global Game Jam this weekend?

How long does it last? Just the weekend?

Ether way, good luck, Ebeth!

Let's work on your game descriptions!

@djking: Oops! I probably didn't notice your initial post, as I was in the process of typing up a response to somebody else!

Anyway, there's a bit of weird wording in there. For example, I'm not sure if "class" is the right word to use, as two of the three examples that you provide are races (ie: demon and dragon). I would probably use the term "heroes" then use "with a demon, dragon, and slayer of titans being among them". That's just me, though.

You you really have to keep using "our world, Zyia"? Once it's established that the name of the world is Zyia, you could just use "Zyia" or "the world".

Misaos, Discussions, and the Future

I keep forgetting Look Ahead even exists! Outside of doing a test of it after talking to the guards that mention it, I never use it again.
