if you have 50 friends willing to vote up your content and they can outweigh the vast majority of the traffic coming to the site that we don't see on the forums, yes possibly
Oldies are probably the worst people to put forth an argument that a system like that is unlikely to be abused because you DO have a bunch of friends willing to vote up your content.
The site turns into a popularity contest. Guess who wins?
I'm still for quality control on blogs though.

I've tried, trust me, anyone know of a script that does this in XP?
Scripts aren't the answer to everything you know :P

Blog posts are only worth 4 Makerscore. Visions & Voices is worth 420 MS.
Also, minimum character limits make stuff like Nessiah's amazing art blogs harder to put up.
Yeah I know they're only worth 4ms each. But some people post a lot of tiny (and often valueless) blogs very often. Posting a lot of very informative blogs very often is a different matter entirely.
You've got a good point about the art posts though, didn't think about that.
Visions & Voices: Revision
Oh well V&V is the only post-2k3 game that I've played and liked (that's finished anyway!) so I expect good things :)
Rewards for good blog post.
I kinda agree. Only because precious MAKERSCORE is given for blog posts regardless of their length or quality so members who tend to post blog entries of a couple sentences twice a week are racking up the points willy-nilly.
Need help with wrong skills in RPG Mk 2k3
No worries :) this tripped me up too a few weeks ago. It is mentioned in the help file somewhere.
It's just another classic example of the backwards/obscure logic that tends to occur in rm2k/3's translations.

When you use a "WEAPON" type attribute the equipped weapon on the hero MUST have the corresponding "type" of attribute in order to be usable.
This is so you can have say, "sword skills" which only show up as usable when a sword is equipped.
:) Simplez.
