Haha, that's my metaphor for what it's like for me to do social things (especially with strangers)- being asked to stick your hand into a jar full of spiders.

Yeah, I wish there were some magical way to get known by just making a lot of stuff, because this networking thing is balls.
Yeah this seems cool that you'd go to these events. I thought the spider jar analogy was pretty brilliant, as was the one about balls. Because balls are funny because they're balls.

I can't imagine trying to manage networking alongside actually making stuff, and it's so damn important, too, if you actually wanna make money or get noticed or whateva.
I always feel so damn shy when talking about my own stuff, too, until I'm actually releasing it anyway.
