I am currently drawing how I would like Lydia to look when the game is finished. This is a huge improvement from the last pixel art I drew, but I would like to have some feedback.
Lufia V: For the Savior
That is 100% true. You have to have a plan and an image of what you want your game to be like in terms of graphic style, atmosphere, events, music, battles, and storyline. The plotline and puzzle designs are my main struggles. I'm trying my best to avoid cliches and add some nostalgic moments in Lufia VI so that it comes out being a truly great experience. I know how to do mapping, battles, some puzzles, and a bunch of other stuff, I need feedback on the plotline when I explain what its about.
Lufia VI:Echoes of the legend
Ended? What do you mean? I'm only on a break. Also, several Lufia fangames have been announced here. I was the first one, then Dekar came with Lufia V, then Kiren with Lufia rebirth and gadesx with his as well. Trust me, they are anything but dead. I have been away from this project for a while because I'm working on a Platformer featuring several characters that me and several subscribers made. There are also some Lufia VI cameo appearances in it as well.

Excellent work Dekar! You and Kiren are killing me with 2 masterpieces in the making! You guys ever considered collaborating?
Edit: I forgot to mention XBuster as well. You guys should at least share ideas or something.
Don't forget gadesx. Collaborating does sound fun, but we have to get our own projects out first so that we know what everyone is capable of. I've got a script going for Lufia VI as well as various blueprints. I have a ton of ideas to share since I've played all the Lufia games, but I don't want to share everything I've got just yet.
Anyway, this is looking great. I've played the demo and I was really amazed, so the video only made the experience greater. Great Work!!

That does sound interesting. After all, some bodies of water are cleaner than others. How many continents do you plan on having? I wanted to have 7 to match the earth, but most lufia games have 4 continents or something like that.
Amon Info
Great:) I believe that every sinistral should have a particular strategy that you need to learn to defeat them. Gades is brute strength, Amon is status effects, Erim is magic, and Daos is all powerful. I look forward to seeing how you program them.

I would definitely stick with the water i this picture. The color matches the style and the Beisume water is too bright for the Lufia II chipsets. The water you have here is perfect for the darker tone of color represented, so I would highly recommend sticking with thix.

True:) I want to have a consistent graphic style, so I am practicing how to make them based off of the game. This is actually the first serious pixel art I've ever made. I will try it at different angles because I'm also learning how to draw Manga in my spare time. Altering joint parts are for beginners, but It would be nice to be able to start from scratch on each one. The bald portraits are for reference of her head size. Adding hair is what i had in mind, but I want it to look good before pasting it on her, or I may start from her head.
Thanks for your feedback!! I love hearing stuff like this because I feel I have so much potential, but I need to push myself further as an artist and game designer.
