An 18 year old Senior in High School. My primary interest since I was a kid has always been Art. Eventually, I got interested in sports, music, movies, anime, and video games. My favorite gaming genres are Action, Fighting, Adventure, Platforming, and RPGs. Even today, I am still brushing up on various skills such as playing the piano, basketball, and my favorite hobby which is drawing.

I also have a new skill that developed in November of 2011. That skill is designing games. I finally found something that could bring my ideas to life in real time:) However, I have only had one game that I am still working on, but life happens and you can't do the things you would like to do at any given time.

Currently, my main project(s) is an Action-Platformer called Fantasia:Rise of a Legend, but I will be working on an a Lufia II inspired RPG and other games in the future.

Fantasia is the product of several failed attempts to create a platforming game in game maker. Finally, I took several tutorials and I found out what I was doing wrong and it picked up from there. The Lufia game I'm working on is a combination of everything I know about the series, but with a twist to the classic storyline(s).

Great:) I believe that every sinistral should have a particular strategy that you need to learn to defeat them. Gades is brute strength, Amon is status effects, Erim is magic, and Daos is all powerful. I look forward to seeing how you program them.

I would definitely stick with the water i this picture. The color matches the style and the Beisume water is too bright for the Lufia II chipsets. The water you have here is perfect for the darker tone of color represented, so I would highly recommend sticking with thix.

True:) I want to have a consistent graphic style, so I am practicing how to make them based off of the game. This is actually the first serious pixel art I've ever made. I will try it at different angles because I'm also learning how to draw Manga in my spare time. Altering joint parts are for beginners, but It would be nice to be able to start from scratch on each one. The bald portraits are for reference of her head size. Adding hair is what i had in mind,but I want it to look good before pasting it on her, or I may start from her head.

Thanks for your feedback!! I love hearing stuff like this because I feel I have so much potential, but I need to push myself further as an artist and game designer.

I am starting to learn how to draw cutscenes, but I am an amateur. I need feedback on what I can do to improve the drawing quality of the scenes. I like how they look so far, but drawing and coloring in paint isn't as easy when starting from scratch.

I was able to get on paint for a short period of time and I decided to draw Lydia in a Popful Mail-form. at the bottom, there is the design process and the rough draft is at the top. Its still in early progress, so be as harsh and supportive as possible because I need to improve.

The graphic style I'm trying to model after is something like this

I can draw a lot better than this normally, but I don't have a scanner so I can't put the artwork I want up.

Hmm, do you need different music for different chapters. Also Sand Canyon? We know at least one song for that :P
That would be cool:) But, I decided to change the music for every 2 Acts. So the game may have about 20-30 tracks in the whole game. In every chapter you will be doing something different to avoid linearity and add a variety of level designs.

Some Levels will branch off into have multiple pathways so that you can take down levels any way you wish.

I would Love to use synthfont, but my mom's laptop is running on a disc due to the fact that a virus got on it and unless we get the disc, I can't work on my games or use any program that has an exe at the end. I'll check out the other stuff ASAP and I really want to check out other programs, but I can't. Solmire is one of the greatest sites and I've been looking for something like it for a long time. Once I get things back together again I'll try out as many programs as possible.

have you thought about adding a challenge mode like mega man 10? I would like to be tested with a series of mini levels that test your skills. If not, that's ok, but it would be nice.

Thank you so much for this!! this is one of the most helpful sites i've used for music. It gives the music Mp3 quality, but I would love to edit it myself with programs as well. This site converts MIDis and gives them MP3 quality instruments and I LOVE it. This is perfect:)
