If Jackie Chan had a close Japanese friend, would he be called Jackie-chan?

Chan is female, iirc. He would be Jackie Kun.
But then, any woman named Jackie could be addressed as Jackie Chan.

It's a form of endearment that I think applies to both genders. Of course, "-chan" is rarely used in typical conversations outside of playful talk between lovers because of its condescending nature.
