That's it. I am quitting game making and going into the potato salad business.

And the customers will wait forever on their salad because Kentona doesn't finish anything!
Is this about the person who make a kickstarter for some potato salad and got around $5000? I hear they're throwing a free potato salad party.

Can I critique your potato salad? Does it follow the three-celery rule?

Did you mean $40,000 ?

Wow. You don't even need to go into a business. Just post on Kickstarter and you'll get enough just make potato salad.

I'm gonna post a Kickstarter about taking my dog for a walk in the park just outside my backyard. If you want to contribute, it's a $2 minimum pledge. The money will go to getting a better leash, gas for my car (Because who wants to WALK to the park? Sheesh), and new brushes for the dog. I will be shocked if I make less than $20000!

Ow. My pride.

I got my 'source' from a tumblr post so I guess it was a little behind. Still, that had better be the best potato salad in existence... and I know it isn't because the best is currently in my fridge, awaiting consumption~

Kickstarter is half about supporting new, creative inventions and half about the entertainment of backing a ridiculous venture.

Still, I'm kind of jealous that I didn't think of it first...

I think I laughed more at this than I should have.
$40,000 in donations for a potato salad? (Or I guess I should say to be part of a joke)

All the fucking charities in the world trying to rub two bits together...

I just don't get it. My brain literally cannot comprehend this.

With $12.5 billion raised in the U.S. by non-profits in 2013, I think they are doing just fine.

Also, someone pledging money to potato salad in no way diminishes your ability to donate to charity.

Haha, yeah, I know. Hell, I've been going over the SGDQ footage and those guys raised a ton. I just find that this got anything at all pretty crazy, but that's probably because I don't pay a lot of attention to Kickstarter. For all I know this might not even be that strange...

I wonder how many backers there'd be if I start a kickstarter campaign for college tuition.

I'll just point to this kickstarter and say "LOOK! HE GOT MONEY FOR POTATO SALAD. THESE FOOLS WANT MONEY FOR GAMES. I'M ASKING YOU TO FUND MY EDUCATION."
But thats not internet-funny...

Just so everyone knows (if you don't already), everyone who backed above the goal can cancel their support up until the last minute, which will most likely be the case. The guy's going to walk away with a sweet $10 at the end of this.
