Yea, it's a stamina gauge for the horse. The idea was taken from Ocarina of Time (although it's been used by other games I know)

I'm going to look into redesigning the HUD though. Possibly make a corner piece that looks similar to the menu. Next time I have access to internet I'll post some new shots, just gotta figure out how I want it to look.

I thought I'd put up a picture showing how the HUD looks when everything is in place.

Yea, the money is in the place it's add because later on, to the right of it, an arrow counter and bomb counter appear, and also when the menu opens, it stays where it is.

That's the second time someone has mentioned the equipped item's border. Maybe I will go back in and clean it up a bit. It's part of the original test program that spawned the game, so it's been in place for about 5 years now.

Fair enough, I'll probably do that. I'm not sure how to make a youtube video however, otherwise I would do a video featuring the entire menu and map system.

Well, for the most part, there aren't a lot of maps yet, so I want to show how all the features actually work. Essentially a step by step guide, especially in regards to the map.

Avee: Yea, the actual red bar behind it is more for show than anything. I had originally intended to have it go up and down, now it just sits there as a backdrop more or less.

Alterego: I understand what you're saying. More stuff gets added as the game goes on, such as ammo for bows, bombs and a magic bar. The game is (rather obviously) influenced by a bunch of the Zelda games, which is why I set the graphics up the way they are.

I'm more or less trying to show how the actual system of adding towns to the map works. Kinda showing each step of the process.

Just updated this photo to show the new wounded (and dead) enemy sprites. Took me a bit of time to get them to look right.

That does look pretty good. I assume you're using a picture for him, and not several events moving together?
