RM Games Not Hosted on RMN #1

Okay, so it's time for the 2nd instalment of notable RPG Maker (RM) games not hosted on RMN. There are still quite a number of candidates that I have in mind, but for now, here are the next 3 games:

1) Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden

Year Released: 2008
Creator: Tales of Game's Studios
Made in: Game Maker (Originally in RPG Maker 2003)
Approximate Play time: 4-7 hours
Download & Game Website: http://www.talesofgames.com/related_game/barkley-shut-up-jam-gaiden/

Well, now that I think about it, this is a rather weird game. The premise is pretty interesting (the world is in a post-apocalyptic state because of Charles Barkley's skill and because of that, basketball was banned). The story is rather weird and wacky, yet interesting. But the one thing that's unique and that I like most about this game is the gameplay (I especially like that every playable character has his own battle style. Definitely play this for the gameplay at least.
(And yes, this one was made in Game Maker, but it originated in RPG Maker 2003, so I feel this game deserves a mention.)

2) Suits: A Business RPG

Year Released: 2016
Creator: Technomancy Studios
Made in: RPG Maker XP? (I haven't tried out the game yet, but I know it's RPG Maker)
Approximate Play Time: 3-6 Hours
Download: http://store.steampowered.com/app/410670/

Hmm, this is a rather interesting RPG. The first thing that you're reminded of when you first see this game in its glorious black-and-whiteness is...yes, you guessed it, OFF. If you're a fan of OFF and you have a liking for businesses and whatnot, then this game probably will appeal to you. It's not free, but it only costs US$0.99 if I'm not mistaken, which is really cheap.

3) Eternal Senia

Year Released (Chinese): 2014
Year Released (English): 2015
Creator: Holy Priest
Made in: RPG Maker VX Ace
Approximate Play Time: 4-6 hours
Download: http://store.steampowered.com/app/351640/

Now, this game is simply...beautiful (and I don't just mean the aesthetics). I've just finished this game, and I can definitely understand why this game is so overwhelmingly popular on Steam (in fact, it's probably the most popular RPG Maker game on Steam right now). And what's more, it's FREE.

The first thing that you're probably be reminded of when you first see this game is Ragnarok Online (RO). Yep, the graphics are inspired by that once-popular MMORPG. In fact, even the main characters themselves are named after notable monsters in RO.

Anyway, what I love about this game are the music, the graphics, the simple gameplay that anyone can get into (it's an Action RPG btw, and you'll only be controlling Senia) and the emotional rollercoaster of a storyline (despite the not-so-perfect translation, but that doesn't really deter the impact of the storyline). A warning, though, about the story. When I said emotional, I really meant it.
This game has definitely piqued my interest in the Taiwanese RPG Maker game community (yes, this game was made by a Taiwanese), and all I can say is, it's a definite must-try.

(Oh, did I mention it just recently won gold at Taiwan's Game Star Awards 2015 for Best Indie Game in Taiwan? Yep.)

Well, that's all, folks! If you guys have any games to suggest, feel free to do so! And if there are any games that I've already mentioned in my articles and that require more descriptions, feel free to post here so that I can add your input to the articles! Your input counts just as much as everyone else!

Till next time then, I suppose!

The creators of Barkley be like:

"When you mak gam but ball is life."

And playing that game gives me memories of me capable of dunking on the opponent.

Eternal Senia is amazing. Go play it people. Go play it NOW. (I'm also upset about how many people fond the ending disappointing just because it isn't a happy ending. Seriously people, get used to sad endings I'm so sick of hearing ''GOOD END PLZ???'' for every game that doesn't end with a happy ever after)

I have bought Suits, but I never got around to playing it. I probably should.
