There are lot of games added to this site all the time. And often they are easy to overlook. So I present you with the Downloads added in April list! These are games that had a download added or updated in April (and got on the main page list for a brief moment)

B.I.R.D. by RedNeptune
Some kind of puzzle game that I think went on hiatus shortly after the download was added.

Fairytale by JoRu
Version 1.01 of a demo originally released in March. The screenshots are very green which is a colour I tend to like. Especially that darkish green that is found on these screenshots.
A updated version of Chapter One is now available. These are the changes for this version:

- New save point after getting both orbs in the temple
- A few bug fixes and minor tweaks

Keep it cool, guys. :)

The Last Goddess by RolandKnight
From the blog posts I gather this is a first game, I will let the developer speak for himself:
Sweet I'm so glad I got accepted! Got me worry their for a moment. But anyways this is in did my frist RPG maker VX Game ever, to this day I'm still working on. Lol I think I fine it funny since I only really started with me, playing around with the events and the story kind of build up from there. So I hope you like the Demo I'm about to put up and please give me feedback, I like to hear what needs to be Improved or why you hate it other then it uses what came with it...

Mana Conquest: Vengeance by Ramza
Demo 1.20c, it's a sequel to some other game and most of the description seem to be how it relates to the previous game.
It is my pleasure to inform you all that there is a new demo of Mana Conquest Vengeance. It is already complete, and has been fully tested. It runs without the rtp on any computer (although font problems have been noted, included is a workable rm2k3 font fix for those who are having issues).
If you've been following the game at all since I posted this here, you might know that I have a habit of working very slowly (or not at all), but the truth is, it's been over three years since I released the last demo, which is the download that's currently posted. It itself, that's pretty sad, and I hope to be able to turn that around this year.

One Night by Dark Gaia Completed
A Full Game Special Edition version was released in April of an otherwise fairly old game. Which means it has reviews aplenty.
Ark Reaver thinks it's the scariest RPG Maker game ever 4/5
sbester finds it likable despite his dislike for the general genre 4/5
Fallen-Griever thinks it's en enjoyable game throughout 3.5/5
Shinan (that's me btw) finds it frustrating 1/5

One Night 2: The Beyond by Dark Gaia Completed
A Special Edition of this game was also released in April (as well as you'll see the third game in the series). There's a couple of reviews to be found for this as well. Though most of them are not as positive as for the previous game in the series.
Fallen Griever thinks it's the best rpg maker horror game he's seen and think it is a substantial improvement on the first one 4.5/5
halibabica finds issues in the game but still thinks it's very atmospheric and well done 3/5
Darken finds the game to be lacking in several aspects, including puzzle design, scariness and general atmosphere. 2/5

One Night 3: Shadows over Stillwater by Dark Gaia Completed
The third game in the One Night series also got the Special Edition treatment. Unfortunately this one doesn't have any reviews.

Cross X Retro by JimmyLy, Skie Fortress and J-Man
A NES SNES crossover retro game. The most hilarious comment is found on the game page where Darken notices that:
As a retro nazi I have some problems with how un-retro it looks. First the gradient bars in the battles look too next gen, there is no reason to have them unless you are making a lolwtfHD game. Second, the message boxes are transparent, have you guys ever played an NES game? Like, fix the font blur and correct the sizes or I will murder you with a 16x16 1-bit sword icon.

Eden Legacy: A Knight of Eden by sbester Completed
The game's in black and white which is always an intriguing choice. There's also plenty of extras in the blog so if you're interested make sure to check that out.
Version 1.1 is available. I played it through and there were no bugs so if you say there are you are a liar. Enjoy!

Sore Losers: Rio Grrrl by Fallen-Griever
A tech demo of this game was uploaded. The art style seems very interesting in this game. Actually writing this I should probably try it out once it goes past tech demo status.
I've uploaded the tech-demo. It has around 30 minutes of gameplay depending on your skill, the options you choose to take etc. so it is by no means the longest demo in the world. Nor does it have a load of storyline development since you don't play enough of the game to get into that kind of thing (although this isn't really going to be the most story-heavy game in the world).

However, what it does do is it showcases most of the systems I plan to include in the full version of the game and since my aim is to get feedback on those systems rather than to generate a load of hype then I don't think the length is a problem.

Anyway, if you download it then I hope you enjoy it - and comment lots!

Faith by dezz123
Dreamworlds and adventuring. There's apparently been a bunch of demo versions this month. But hopefully the current release is a stable one!
I've recently uploaded a new demo to the game, which contains a fix of all the bugs in the game.
I have also added an extra bit at the end of the demo, just so you can see what's coming up in the next demo.

Awesome Quest by mongoosezxc Completed
dezz123 sums this game up the best I think:
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA- what the-?!
I played this...
Awesome.

Crystal Returners III: Rise of Darkness by jin69
Story- Years ago an evil wizard named Babaza ruled the Crystals until a young hero named Bandit defeated the evil wizard Babaza restoring the 5 Crystals back to there place. Years laters a spawn of the evil wizard Babaza was born, a descended of the young hero Bandit defeated the evil spawn but with a cost. The five Crystals broke into pieces creating smaller Crystals, these smaller crystals were supported with the help of their parent Crystals, the 5 original Crystals Life, Space, God, Land, Sky. A few years later Vaan the son of the hero who defeated the evil wizards spawn joined the imperial army to search for the Crystals with his friend Elsa and friends will forever change the world of Crystalis.
The less said the better.

Seal of the Maidens (Demo Version) by Slashandz
The world needs saving.
I've been reading all of the the feedback from everyone, and have compiled Seal of the Maidens Demo 1.1!

So what all has changed? Quite a lot, actually. First off, the naming glitch has been fixed. Secondly, new
difficulty levels have been added! Do you dare try hard mode? (be warned, it's tough. :P)
Not to mention a new cave, some monster balancing, and some changes to the world map! Definitely give this a try. :D

sunshinesan doesn't recommend the game, mostly because of its incompleteness and suggests waiting for a more fleshed out version 2/5

Hayate no Gotoku! RPG by suneshinesan
A fan game based on something I've never heard of (but you anime afficianados have probably heard of this). In the short amount of time this has been out there's already been two reviews though!
Slashandz likes the game's story but is no fan of the actual gameplay. 3.5/5
VideoWizard agrees in principle with Slashandz but is not as forgiving 1.5/5

Carpe Diem: The Living Flame -Episode 1 by Linkforce
The first part in what aims to be a trilogy. The game page has a lot of extras that I didn't go deeper into.
Hey guys, the demo for Carpe Diem is out! Just go to the download tab and click the download link! I'm eager to hear what you all think about my game! Good or bad, let me know everything on your mind! All I ask is that you give the game a chance and play it through til the end. It definitely gets better as you play.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me! :)

Ambassador to Earth by suzuricho
A girl's life is pretty shit and then she goes into outer space! If I was a 17 year old girl with life problems that's exactly what I wish would happen!
Thank you for downloading Ambassador to Earth! I'm surprised anyone is interested. Anyway, this project is a result of a lot of hard work, but it isn't completed... fully. I still need to make better animations for a lot of weaponry. I came up with this story ages ago (I mean when I was in middle school!), and I finally decided to do something with it. The major difference between the story and the game is that I was the main character in the story. It's a much different approach than I thought it'd be... I sincerly hope you get some enjoyment out of it, and try not to complain too much about the graphics sucking so badly.

Oh, and y'know, I have a tendancy of typing like I talk. So when you see a buncha contractions littering the place here in my ReadMe, that's why. I got in trouble for it in my English classes in both high school and college... but who actually speaks in terribly perfect grammar? I've never met anyone like that... and I like to talk a lot. Sorry about that.

With that, I give you a cookie for giving my game a chance.
-Lots of cookies, cakes, sundaes, and brownies!

Carlsev Saga: Episode 1 by Deckiller Completed
Politics. Maybe? I guess a proper review is the best cure for this ignorance of mine.
edchuy likes the game overall, but finds the story especially strong. 4/5

Carlev Saga: Episode II (Demo1) by Deckiller
The demo for the sequel to the previous game.
I have posted the demo to Carlsev Saga II. It features roughly 3 hours of gameplay, covering the first quarter of the game. Feedback and questions are always welcome.
If you enjoyed the first game this is probably well worth a look.

Reminiscence: The WTF Saga by Clyve
Any game that has "throwing in some sharp (and sometimes painfully dull) wit." in the description must be worth it.
Hey folks, the new demo is out now. The balance people were asking for is now present in the game without a need for a normal and easy type, the characters/dialogue has quite a bit more life to it, a new soundtrack, and in addition to that, it adds around another 2 hours of game play.

Unfortunately too many changes have been made to the game as a whole, so saves from the previous demo will no longer work. This is for the best, however, as the game is far more enjoyable from the get go this time around.

Tastes Like Spelunky by halibabica Completed
I've never played Spelunky (shame on me) so I have no special relation to it. From what I can tell this is sort of a Spelunky fangame/mod. If you're a fan of Spelunky (like many people are) I bet this is something you can enjoy. I guess personally I should try the original first...
Well, it's been one hell of a development process, but Tastes Like Spelunky is finally complete! It'll be available as soon as the downloads get approved. Again.*

I hope you all check it out! It may just be a mod, but it's vastly different than what it came from!

*leave it to me to miss one small detail before a release.

The Forgotten King by SDHawk Completed
Reclaim your kingdom in this action rpg.
From the screenshots it looks pretty interesting but I just don't know anything!

ActRazer by auroren_sky Completed
A game that takes its inspiration from the old SNES classic ActRaiser.

Super Mario RPG: The Seven Sages by udivision Completed
A Super Mario RPG fangame. Judging from the comments this is not a new game but one that has circulated and finally found its way to RMN!

King of Crack by hirschmonsta
I have a feeling this is not the sim game I hoped it would be. But the premise is nonetheless intriguing.
Yes, this is my first project, and even as such, is in the infancy stage. I mainly released it to solicit an animator, knowing full well that my effort would be torn apart, critically, but you have to start somewhere, right?

Think Outside the Box by Pokemaniac Completed
Boxes! And a presentation that reminds me of World of Good for some reason. If this game is as good as it looks it will definitely float to the top soon.

Super RMN Bros. by a bunch of people Completed
Community-created Mario levels were compiled by GreatRedSpirit and released as this pack.

The Particle of Infinite Free Will by Beaker Completed
The Particle of Infinite Free Will is a top-down puzzle-action game, where the player plays through a strange psychedelic experience. The gameplay combines fast mouse clicking (minus the actual clicking) with a few puzzle/strategy elements over the course of seven levels.

So there you have all the releases that came out in April! Actually it's not all the releases. There are some releases that had a download that later got taken down. As well as a couple of releases that have a download link in the description or somewhere else. I chose not to include those because... Well I want people to use RMN's own hosting service thing. And you can't review games that don't have a real download. I noticed that I didn't have much to say about the more recent releases and I couldn't find good info in the comments sections either (since the games were so new) so perhaps I should rethink this if I do it again. Please feel free to comment on what you think of this format and if it's something you'd like to see again.

I might also have missed some game that was released. If that's the case I'm sorry about that.

Only games marked as "Complete" got an image, to give complete games slightly more exposure. I probably should do a different kind of reordering if I do this again other than just go by the order in which I wrote down the games originally :D

I'm flattered!

Good job putting this together.
I didn't realize there were so many games! Good jorb on this, Shinan.

Another one missing from the list, is ShortStar's EpiQuest. He actually posted a demo at the start of the month and towards the end a completed version. The most recent version is a revised one with bugs fixed. I am currently writing a review for this game.

Good show of initiative, Shinan. Especially, by hunting down those quotes and reviews, which sadly not everybody got. Unfortunately, in RMN's current form, some human intelligence is still required to come up with this list as well as VW's. Perhaps I can come up with some stats to complement these efforts.

It can't hurt to have both a running list and a monthly round-up.

I agree, it just makes sense. VW's job will be much easier as well, that way.

That's why it is useful as well. With EpiQuest, I count 29 total, which is almost 1 per day.

As I mentioned in my gameplay blog, given the recent torrent of releases (as well as healthy dose of 14 completed games, including 3 Dark Gaia revamps!), I probably won't be taking any gameplay requests any time soon, since I have so much to pick and chose from to play. Of course, I hope these also offer quality as well.
Yeah I did have EpiQuest on my list but I noticed it didn't have a download when I wrote the thing (though shortly afterwards the new EpiQuest download was accepted). If I make one for next month I'll just have to throw it in there.

On the quotes and reviews I really like adding those. So I'm wondering if it might be better to do monthly roundups a bit after the month has passed. So that games released on the 30th of a given month would have some time to get a bit of stuff in the way of quotables :)

Of course it's always good if people use their blogs for release info too!

OK. I understand the issue with EpiQuest. That's why I mentioned human intelligence, which still is far from perfect! Regarding the quotes and review, you could always go back and add them. It would probably make sense, for example to wait until the 15th of the next month to produce this monthly list, so that the late entries would have some quotables and perhaps even a review. It is up to you, either way you wan to handle it, if you are taking charge of this. Having developers at least using their blogs for when a version of their game is submitted regardless of what type it is would be helpful. That's one thing I told ShortStar he should with his latest version, which probably another reason why you couldn't include EpiQuest. I'll work with coming up with some stats for April if you don't mind.

Not counting EpiQuest, I came up with the stats below. The only one I had to do some guesswork for was genre (it would nice if everybody put tags on their games). Feel free to use them. Also, let me know if you think there's any other categories I could add. Sorry in advance for the formatting, but the comment engine of RMN is far from WYSIWYG.
