This Plugin allows you to create particle effects for your rm2k3 games.
Most properties of the effects are customisable, meaning you can create a lot of different cool visual effects with it.

This is a complete overhaul of the old Particle Effects plugin, and has a range of new features, including gravitional direction and gravitational point.
It has also been optimized for the sake of allowing as many particles on screen as possible.

thanks dude, I have to test this version :p
Tried to open and run demo game included in this download...

Got this error:

I guess I must have made some bug fix, and forgot to remove a line of event code which tries to load a picture ( which probably wasn't uploaded along with the rest of the stuff ).
If you open the project, go to the upper left event, scroll down until you see @pfx_set_texture "black smoke", "particle.png"
and then just simply remove it, ought to fix the project.
either that, or just create a tiny picture and paste it into the picture folder while calling it "particle.png".

I'll try to reupload the project without this problem soon enough as well.
Thanks for pointing it out.
Heh, I fixed the problem by tracking down your old ParticleEffects release, and copying the Picture folder from that, which had particle.png in it.

Then your demo in the new ParticleEffects V2 actually works.

I got ParticleEffects working in my game. It's very cool. Thanks for making it!
Hi again. I just thought I'd show you a sample of what I did with ParticleEffects V2.

This plugin kicks butt, but it can be a little tricky to use sometimes. I think it's more me than the plugin's fault though.

I'm having a hard time getting this working. I haven't had any trouble with your other plugins. I'm using dynrpg .13b, because for some reason, that's what downloads on cherry's site, not .14a. Regardless, I noticed in your demo project this note, "If you're not using the 0.17 or 0.20 .dll loader from DynRPG" What exactly is that referring to? I've checked around everywhere and can't seem to find much.

I'm sure it's something simple that I'm ballsing up.
While it says 13b you most likely have version 14a (Cherry just forgot to update the version number). That said, I'm a bit surprised that this plugin is telling you to get the even later versions of the patch, as I thought I had written this one for the current one. I think there should be a link somewhere on the site to the latest version (maybe pepsiOtaku knows?), and I know there is some link deep buried in the multimediaxis forum, but pretty deep and it's also in german, so there's that.

I would like to say that I'd look deep into the plugin myself to remedy any weird version requirements it seems to have... but you'll probably be better of searching for the latest version of DynRPG in the meantime as that's more likely to reliable
I should probably clarify, the note I read was a comment left in one of the event blocks of the demo project. I don't receive any errors or crashes, the particles are simply not drawn on the screen. I brought it up because I thought I didn't have the most current version of DYN and that maybe the two were related. But if what you said is true, then I should have the latest version of DYN.

So yeah, the problem is the particles are not being drawn, not even in your demo project and I can't for the life of me figure out why. I even patched the rpg_rt in the demo file and I got nothing.
