Wow I almost didn't notice that the 8th was the voting day, not the submission day. And I almost missed it.

Welp, i can't make everything behind the text slightly transparent.

I thought replacing the hex values with rgba(12,12,12,50) would have done the trick but nothing happens. I'd also need to put that command in every section of the gamepage and that sounds very tiring.

So maybe i'll leave it like that.

Honestly, with the animated background you're using I think it would be too annoying to have a transparent main column, so probably for the best. :)
Alpha is a value from 0 to 1, set it to 0.50 instead of 50 and see if that does the trick.

This worked.

However i think Gibmaker is right, after looking at it with a transparent background it turns super distracting and difficult to read, so i'll stay without it.

Thanks.

So how does voting work? Do we post here? Or will there be a poll topic made in the forums so people can vote anonymously?
There's the vote page in the upper right corner by 'Details' and the P in Workshop that you can use. I really should've fixed more of the CSS when the event started, sorry!

Thanks for pointing it out GRS! Talk about a last minute vote, haha!

Man there are some nifty pages on display here! It was hard to vote for just one. To all who participated in this event, you should be proud of what you've done here! Doubly so if you took the time to learn some CSS to pretty up your page.

that's really nice to hear! Thank you!
I hope one of those nifty pages you mention is mine.

It's not visible. I guess I'm too late for the vote :-(
Well, this is awkward. Looks like the voting has ended but the results aren't visible? We'll have to look into this, here's hoping this wasn't the first time we did user voting to find out it was never finished!

We can extend the voting period too if needed. It wasn't exactly well advertised to say the least.

Uh oh. That'd be kinda awkward if showing results wasn't featured.

If all else fails, someone could start a poll topic in the forums?
Yeah, if I can't find a solution or hear of a fix tomorrow morning I'll make a forum poll with the submitted gameprofiles and voting will have to restart from there.

I can't think of any other event that used user polling in the past, looks like we jumped the gun when we set up the event and saw 'user voting' as an option!
I think... Mirak won, right? His name has a medal to its right. If that's the case, congratulations :^D!!!

I would like the vote count though, just to know how far went mine or something. I love everyone's work, each in a different way. Also here is a little something for each entry.

Gibmaker's Tallest Reed - I like the texture but I don't think the plain gray looks fine along with the rest, though I understand that the texture would potentially make some comments unreadable. But I find refreshing having such a texture.
Lihinel's Ludus de Sophia - My only complaints are the white backgrounds at the comment's section (I don´t find it to be in tune with the rest), and the red text for the Summary/Images/etc links (that gray background kind of blurs the text for me). I specially love the use of tones at the top and how they are merged by using that main column texture.
Marrend's Okiku Star Apprentice - Iesus! What a work with that face response haha! It's a simple change to the style, but I like how you managed to match the page colours with, say, Okiku's hair, the title text with the background, and so on.
Melkino's Catharsis - I've always been secretly in love with Catharsis's game page.
Irog's MinST - Hexagons goodness :^D! My only complain here is the text readability because of the hexagons. Maybe change the main column's color alpha to 0.8 just to soften the texture a little. But overall I like it.
Red_Nova's Prayer of the Faithless - Overall it's good, but I feel as if there is so much text! (I got that problem too "orz) Or something, I don't know.
robb0226's TMNT RPG - I wonder how would it look if the main column didn't had that gray border, letting it to blend with the back texture. Also that header image reminds me, and I don't really know why... to the Fight Club logo?
Mirak's Super Pantito - There's a lot of colour and appealing stuff, it's very pretty.
NoBody13's If... - I love the link's blue color along with the rest of blues in the flames. I don't know what else to say, other than I'm not really a fan of the gray at the reply box.
Make_it_MagiK's Lies (it's the game's name, I'm not blaming anyone for anything) - Again, gray reply box. Red, white and black look nice and they're consistently used along (most of) the page :^3.

And that's it from me. :^)
I also voted for Mirak, so congrats on the win!

I agree that it now looks better without the gray border.
The header similarity to Fight Club was unintentional, but I welcome the comparison!
Here's the vote tally. Technically the system works. Technically. It is buried in the event administration that only the highest level of admins can access.

Congratulations to Mirak for making the shiniest gamepage! Congrats to Melkino for placing second, Gibmaker and orochii in a deathmatch to determine 3rd, and thanks to everyone who participated!

I'm kinda happy/proud that I came out of this event with two games having CSS, especially having no knowledge of it before hand! It's pretty staggering what people can do.

*Edit: For full disclosure, the face-responses on the game-page for Okiku, Star Apprentice are hard-coded via tables. They are not part of the CSS.

But, man, would that be crazy!

This was good for forcing me to finally improve a game page at least D:
