Description

Sleigh bells ring, are you listening,
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,
We're happy tonight.
Walking in a winter wonderland.

Christmas is drawing ever-closer and for most of us that means music is in the air. From catchy poppy songs about raindeer, to slow ballads about the birth of a King, we've many a tune that is lighting up our lives and, in some cases, driving us insane.

So let's make the most of the Seasonal tunes! Gammak go!

RULES
- You have until the 1st of January to make a short game, no longer than an hour of gameplay, no shorter than 5 minutes.
- You may start as soon as you sign up.
- The game made must be based on at least one Christmas song and it must be apparent which song this is.
- The game must fit the rules of the site.

Any song on this list will count. If you have a song in mind that isn't on this list, post a comment with a link and a staff member will check to see if it fits or not.

Submit the game to this event page. If you want to make a gamepage for it, go ahead, but you don't need one, and if you do make one it most likely won't be accepted until after the event ends.

At the end of the event, you'll get a 100MS badge in your stocking for making a full game for the event! If you submit a demo, you'll get 50MS!

Ok, gam submitted.

You can play Boar's Head with Keyboard or XBox Controller (I personally recommend the controller).

For KeyBoard:
A to shoot your bow.
Space to Jump and continue chat dialogue.
Arrow Keys to Move and Aim. (Crouch Shooting, Shooting Up.)
Up Arrow Key can also be used to chat with NPCs.

For Controller:
X to Shoot.
A to Jump and continue chat dialogue.
D Pad serves the purpose that the Arrow Keys would.

There are some known visual bugs and some minor control related issues.

But I hope you enjoy!
A note to anyone playing Up On The Housetop, there is a game breaking bug on map77, replace it with this version in the data folder to fix it. https://rpgmaker.net/media/content/users/56745/locker/Map077.rxdata

On a later date, I'll make a gamepage for it and clean it up a bit more, but for now its good enough.
Hey guys wtf RamZ's game isn't a shitpost game but is actually good

"Someday I'll finish my game... someday.."

Well.. I didn't finish. I got about 40% of it done before school, work, and family obligations consumed all of my time.

Question, if I finish the game in the next week or two, can I make a game page and say that this WOULD have been my entry in the event?
I'm not sure if you'll be able to get credit for it, but it is always welcome for your stuff to be posted on the site regardless (though there are standards to gamepage of course).
That being said, you probably should have posted a demo to at least get the 50 makerscore a few days ago.
you are not impressing anyone if you are gonna arbitrarily decide that someones game is incomplete based on a random signpost, even though the game can be finished from beginning to end. u could have PM'd me to ask about it if u werent sure. sending a PM is not that hard.
If a game isn't complete, it isn't complete...? If it's very apparent that it's not complete then... well... sorry?

I'll see on stream, and we can adjust the badge then if it reads as completed, okay?
Ah, missed to participate in this Jingle event. Ahhhhhh
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

I mean, you told me in the game that it wasn't complete. I also pinged you on discord. I was going to PM you here but decided it was faster to simply play the game and find out for myself instead of waiting for a reply. I don't know what else you want from me.

The official Final Fantasy 7 Demo can be finished from beginning to end. Being a complete game or not is a matter of whether you intend to add any more to it later. A demo is only part of a game, of which there is (or will eventually be) a complete version. Bug fixes are one thing but if your game is not feature-complete then it's not feature-complete.
