Description

Achievements have been issued! We had a total of 61 qualified demos and completed games during June: 31 of which were submitted to this page. If you should have received an achievement but did not, please PM Deckiller!

Details on our follow-up review drive can be found here.

Overview:
As some of you may know, June is National Game Development Month (Nagademo for short), and we here at RMN want in on the festivities! It's simple: earn extra makerscore by making games this month!

At the end of the drive, we'll hold an event roundup and might (just might) have a member of staff review the completed games. This is an opportunity for your game to get some exposure!

What You Have to Do:
Step 1: Create a game page for each creation you wish to submit (if you haven't already).
Step 2: Upload your download to the game page.
Step 2: Once your game page and download have been approved, you can then submit your game download to this page to receive credit.
Important Note On Multiple Submissions: RMN's event page system only allows one download per team per event. If you have other demos and completed games during June, please PM Deckiller so that you receive your additional achievements!

Rewards:
You will receive an achievement for submitting a:
- Demo download (50 MS achievement for each game)
- Completed game download (100 MS achievement for each game)

This is your chance to rack up some serious makerscore and climb higher in the rankings! If you have a bunch of projects near completion, polish them off and submit them!

Rules:
I'm going to be quite specific here, because I don't want to see anyone get screwed. There are lots of questions and gray areas here, and I want to be as fair as possible. Therefore, we'll need a list of comprehensive ground rules.

1) Gaming the system is not allowed; ask me (Deckiller) if you have any questions or need clarification. I don't want to see you get bamboozled (or see you get frustrated if someone else tries to bamboozle us!). Here are answers to questions already asked; the following is not allowed or doesn't qualify for the achievements:
- Submitting a demo or game that was already completed before June. (Defeats the purpose! At least part of the game should be completed during the actual event :D)
- Deleting and then reposting a download. (Cheating!)
- Making updates to an already completed game, unless the updates are substantial (make sure to ask me first to see if your game is changed enough to qualify!)
- Submitting an unrealistically short demo or completed game (ask me first to see if it can qualify!).
- Releasing a single completed game in small chapters (unless there is a significant shift in playstyle, story, art, makers, etc. - again, feel free to ask me if something will qualify.)
- I may add to this list as circumstances come up or questions are asked. If you think your project falls into one of these gray areas, don't hesitate to PM me.

2) You can submit a demo or completed game download for a game you already have in development.
3) You must have a game page to receive credit for your submissions. (Obviously!)
4) There are no restrictions on game engine or graphics.
5) 5-Hour Contest games are excluded from this game drive unless they are expanded significantly.
6) Anyone listed as a developer or lead on the gamepage will get credit, as long as they actually participated in the making of the game.
7) All of RMN's normal rules apply.
8) Have fun! Use this drive as extra incentive to polish off those games! Feel free to ask Deckiller if you have and questions or need clarification!

Well, I was thinking more like this, but that works too.

What's the deal with the radio-silence? Who is charge of this shindig?
why did you guys leave things to the very last minute?

That's what deadlines are for! B)

haha okay, I was wrong in making this game, I didn't read the rule about extremely short games. Hehe!
At least I proved a point. I can make a game in 10 minutes flat. It's the worst thing ever, and I'll probably keep working on it. But, yeah, I broke the rules.

I blame Smallville. Instead of doing game make month, I watched all 10 seasons instead. Whoop!
You know that I preemptively extended the deadline when I created the event, right? Typically we go by UTC for these long events, so technically the event should have ended 14 hours ago. But out of the goodness of my heart I gave you guys an extra 12 hours after the Official National Game Development Month ended to get your shit together and submit your game profiles and downloads and get them submitted to the event. That was ample time!

So who here needs special treatment due to their inability to meet a deadline?

There is an error in the download link you posted for my demo.

Please change it from http://rpgmaker.net/games/3516/downloads/3667/

to

http://rpgmaker.net/games/3516/downloads/3668/
I didn't post anything for your game - you did when you submitted! You would've selected the download. The event just automatically shows them when the event concludes. I'll fix it for you though!
Thanks. It confused me a little. When I submitted my download it said there were two for the game when I only saw one. I probably fouled something up in my pell mell rush to post.

"Not I," said the cat. Our team got things in on time. Thanks for the extra day, though; it allowed for a few last-minute fixes to our demo, not to mention making it feel like a birthday present, which was really nice.

Thanks to everyone who worked hard this month to make Nagademo a success!

I have to head to work, but I'll start sorting through everything when I get back.

I hadn't noticed the second "Step 2" when I uploaded my demo earlier that month. Oh well.

Good job to those who managed to submit something for the event (submission glitches notwithstanding)! Some of them I have already played, just haven't gotten around to write anything yet (except Melon Journey, of course)! I'll be trying to provide some feedback once I get around to giving some of the other games here a spin (when I need a break from beta testing I Miss the Sunrise!).

The first round of achievements have been awarded: anyone with a download that was submitted to this event page should have a Lord or Overseer achievement for each one. I gave achievements to anyone listed as a developer or lead on the gamepages.

* If I marked your game as a demo but it was completed, send me a PM and I'll upgrade your achievement.

* If I moronically gave you the Overseer and your game was a demo, send me a PM enjoy your extra makerscore!

* Tomorrow, I'll be going through all the demos/completed games not submitted to the event page. ;)

We had 31 official submissions to this game drive, plus numerous other games/demos that weren't submitted "officially" to this page. That's nearly a 50 percent success rate (and possibly more after I sort things out tomorrow). That's not a shabby percentage, since most of us are hobbyists who have numerous other obligations. Nice work!

As I've mentioned a few times, we're planning something special for anyone who managed to submit a game/demo to this event page. Stay tuned for that! We'll be finalizing the details over the coming days.

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.
