Description

Welcome to Reviewrim, the blasted lands where reviewless games roam the frozen wilds, wreaking destruction on the makerscore of hundreds.

You are the Reviewborn, a hero gifted with the power to review games, and prophesied by The Elder Scribes to be the one to assure makerscore's survival.

As Reviewborn, you shall seek out rogue reviewless games and slay them with your mighty Review Shout, an unrelenting force capable of restoring absent makerscore to the lands of Reviewrim.

In this short event, you are tasked with seeking out games with a download without a review and reviewing them. While you are not strictly required to review only games without an existing review, the intent of the event is to get those reviewless games reviews. (You can review any game, and any new review is eligible, but try to select games without a review yet). There are currently 878 games with a download without a review.

As you review games, and after the review is accepted, submit them to this event for credit. Your first review will unlock the Fus Ro Dah achievement (worth 10 makerscore). Your second review will unlock the Dawnguard achievement (15 makerscore). Your third review will unlock the Dovah achievement (20 makerscore). Your fourth review will unlock the Dragon Slayer achievement (25 makerscore). Your fifth and any additional reviews after that will unlock the Dovahkiin achievement (worth 30 makerscore).

At the end of the event, the members of RMN will be free to vote for their favorite review. The winner of this vote will receive an additional Legendary achievement (worth 100 makerscore).

For each review submitted and accepted, you will receive an entry into a raffle for a copy of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Legendary Edition via Steam. If you already own this game (or don't want it), you can opt to have a copy of RPG Maker VX Ace via Steam. If you already have that, you can have a copy of Mass Effect Collection (Mass Effect 1 + 2). If you already have that, then I have no idea. I hope it doesn't come to that...(I guess you get to tell me who to give Skyrim to, then).

Review games without reviews, get achievements, earn bonus makerscore, and get entered in a raffle for Skyrim

Starts: Now
Ends: February 10th, 2014 (evening)
Voting Ends: February 14th (morning)

Well. There goes the Valentines event I had planned. :/

Berty my love, I've got a Valentines event for you IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN~ ;D

But uh srs I didn't realise how busy I would actually be so I might not even do reviews for this. Maybe I will manage like, one review.. maybe.. okay maybe not..
Nobody's given an answer to my question, so I'll just go ahead and submit my Phantasia 5 review and see if I can slip it under the radar because I'm a fucking Bad Guy.

In the meantime, shotgun on The Forgotten King.

For anyone taking requests, The Vestibule is a ~30 minute game that's been complete for two years now and still has no reviews.
I’ll give The Vestibule a whirl if I get the chance, ol’ buddy, ol’ pal. I just have to finish off the remainder of Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy first since I’ve been playing that game for the past month and I would really like to get it done before reviewing anything else. I’ve been playing it for about…20 hours now, so I must be getting pretty close to the end.

- And hey, what the heck? I thought the end date for this was on the 20th of February, not the 10th. *sigh* I guess that means I gotta get off my ass if I want all those shiny badges now. :P

I agree that this event is a great idea. It doesn't only encourage people to write reviews for neglected games, but also to make those reviews high-quality. And it's a good occasion for me to try and write my first reviews.
I'd like to give 10 Minute Infinite a shot, maybe also Castles at War and/or I Expect You To Die.
Have fun reviewing, everyone.
I Expect You To Die is about 10 mins long, max. Just FYI

I know, but I liked the premise of the game and thought, why not review it maybe if it turns out to be playable and enjoyable?
(The bigger problem is, what will happen to me should my review not please the Mighty Site Overlord?)
We should just all review 20 hour+ massive RPG games and really challenge ourselves.

"A ten minute game?" Pfft – THAT’S FOR BABIES!

Be more concerned about the Powerful Review Arbiter.

I would have more makerscore If I did things.

I better finish my game then shove it in your faces to review it.

And maybe write a few myself.
I wonder if anyone will be brave enough to give a decent shot at Depression.

One small question: This event is not actually limited to completed games, meaning I could also review a game that's still in progress, right?

Right. All reviews are eligible, technically, but the intent of the event is to get completed games that don't have a review yet a review. I am just hoping that you guys all take the initiative and do that.

You're magical to me.

Awesome! And sorry in advance.

For the record,
CARRIONBLUE's makerscore before this event: 1084
CARRIONBLUE's makerscore after this event: you'll see.
Would a review of Avantasia count for the purposes of this event? It's technically been reviewed before, but the review carried no rating (meaning that it still appears on the list of unreviewed games,) and the review was for an earlier version of the game, which has since been revised.

Hrm. I know Dyhalto dared to submit his review of Phantasia 5, but do I dare to submit my review of Sorceress Quest?

Naaah! I've already got one in the queue, one in the works, plus one that will very probably be at random.
Oh, I did the Drop since I didn't realize someone else was doing it!
