Description

Hey all! It's been a while since we last had a review jam and since then there've been a plethora of new games joining the ranks of those who need a bit of the ol' love. So let's do this shall we?

The gist of this event is to write reviews for those games that don't have reviews (or only have one at most). Sharing the love and giving feedback is the name of the event.

Rules
- Write a review that is up to the site standards.
- Reviews must be for games that, before this event, had one or less reviews.
- You won't get points for writing reviews for games that had more than one review before the event began.
- New or old games are fine candidates.
- Reviews must be written and accepted during the time period of the event.

Details
- Write and submit reviews between the 19th of May and the 11th of June.
- Make sure to abide by the Submission Rules for reviews.
- When they've been accepted, use the Submit button in the top-right of the page to add your review to this page. If they are not added here they will not be counted!
- Profit?

Please try to write reviews that show both the good and bad points of a game. No-one enjoys getting a review that has only bad points, and every game has something good that could be said of it (no, "It finishes eventually" cannot be counted as a good point >.>) so keep that in mind. Be fair! Be useful! Don't hate!

Prizes
Crown of Paper: 1 review
Crown of Plastic: 4 reviews
Crown of Glass: 7 reviews
Crown of Silver: 12 reviews
Crown of Gold: 20 reviews
Crown of Kings: 30 reviews

Achievements are non-additive (meaning you only get the one for the tier you get to).

my computer is very very close to dying on me at this point, which is sad because I've had this thing for 5 years now. But it still has some life left, hopefully I can get to 30 reviews before it dies on me.
My first game to review is somewhat lengthy. No regrets.
Wait I have a question. You know how you can't review a game that you took part in right? Well I was in RMN Bros 3 but under the username Mariomanty2, reason why I don't use that account is because I forgot that password and email address I used loooong ago... And I created this one.. Does that still mean I can't review it or ? (not like I was able to top what Ancientnoob's review its just a general question lol, because what if some people in the site somehow has 2 accounts as well? Lol)
If you were part of the team that made the game, no, you can't. Generally, if we catch people doing this they get in pretty big trouble, so...

That makes sense. I realized that was the stupidest question ever once I finally read what I just posted lol.
Okay one last question before I overload this event page, I've seen the rules state that you can review a game as long as it has 1 or less reviews, and then also read here in the comments that you can review a game if it has 2 or less reviews?

Liberty said "less than 2 reviews", which is equivalent to "1 or less reviews".

<2 is the not the same as <=1
(What about numbers between 1 and 2?)

I guess you could contest submitting one and a half reviews if you find a way.

Tech if you had a draft prior to the event then submitted it now it wouldn't count due to the time stamp, also because of this loop hole if there was only one review for a game now and you submitted a review, and the person with the draft review submitted theirs your review might not end up counting even though there tech wasn't 2 reviews when you submitted your review. So in this case you could count that draft review held prior to the event as half a review. (Did that make any sense?)
I'll go for the Crown of Glass.

My personal opinion about drafts that existed before the context of this particular review-event is that, if they are submitted, they should not count toward the review total. (Not sure if I'm making sense either!)

Saying that, I have no idea how one would be able to tell, at a glance, when a review is submitted via the sort-method of Unrated Games, Total Reviews Reversed. However, it still stands to reason that the games with no reviews would tend to be "safer bets" than ones with one.

I just played the missile girl one, perhaps you'll get a review if I can summarize all that happened in that very short game.

I can check that kind of thing through the Submission queue. If it's something like an hour or so before, I'm liable to be generous since people usually do get tripped up by timezones even with page details up, but otherwise, yeah.

You know, it's amazing how much completed shit just isn't. fucking. working.

Three in a row on my list. Three. In a fucking row. Twinhearts, Mage Quest 3, and Sidhe Quest.

Also, Liberty, how did you get Bubble to work? It's totally borked for me!

Isn't Twinhearts just suffering from a font problem? Or are you referring to something else besides that? (I downloaded it about a week ago, but put it off as soon as I saw the blank textboxes.)

Anyway, surprised something as recent as a Winterruption game (Sidhe Quest) wouldn't work. It's one thing when it's an older game, like psy_wombatsTerra Nova or even 2015 I Dreamt of Vengeance (two cases I recall where game did basically nothing at all) but this is weird. Although, old games that are still marked as "download available" even though said download now links to a dead website are the most frustrating. Just about every game on this page is an example of this as far as I can tell.

Yes, Twinheart has a font problem, which does put me off. Mage Quest 3 has missing files, and no idea what they are. Worse, they're tilesets, so you can't just drop anything in, and this is surprising because there are a ton of tilesets in its file, but then again, Davenport always has a problem keeping graphics files straight in most of his games. You should see the comments in Gradius X. Sidhe Quest, again with missing files, and it also crashes on the Kitten Kaboodle quest.
