Description
YOU ALL HAVE FALLEN PREY TO MY EVIL PLANS AGAIN! Everyone has TWO weeks (and some change) to make a short game using not one, but TWO randomly given theme elements from THIS POST!
You will get one randomly selected image, as well as one randomly selected word to implement into your game in some way!
SIGNUPS WILL CLOSE ON 5/3 4PM CST!
HOW IT WORKS:
Sign up for the event. One person only!
I'll send you one randomly selected image and word to use as the theme of your game. There's no rules for what you use, use rips, custom, whatever you like! Build with your favorite engine! Feel free to work on/collect assets for your game before the start date, just don't actually start putting your game together until the beginning date of 5/3 at 4pm CST. New games only, don't dig out your dusty stuff and try to polish it up!
THERE'S ANOTHER NEW FEATURE - ONE TIME REROLL!
That's right folks, I'm giving people a one time chance to reroll their theme if they are truly unhappy with their image/word result from the initial roll. Use it wisely!
There are two nifty makerscore rewards for this game, one that goes to those who make a game demo, and those who submit a finished game!
Submit your finished game to the event page before the cutoff date, no extensions!(WELP I GUESS I LIED ABOUT NO EXTENSIONS)
A NOTE ABOUT THE IMAGES - The image theme will be handled very loosely to allow for creative freedom. I'll use this image as an example;
Now say for example you got the above picture. The theme included could be as vague or deep as you like, it could be about a forest, a dad and his kid, a pair of hunters, rifles, a road sign, a busted car, ANYTHING related to the image! Just because you have something you feel would be impossible to work with, do not expect us to judge you for thinking outside the box on some extreme tangent just because it doesn't match the image theme to the pixel. It's about fun! Go nuts!
MORE NOTES - We had a bit of a spat last event about words used, just laying this here now, I reserve the right to accept or deny any images/words used in the roulette post if I deem they aren't worthy of the Theme Roulette roster. ~Illy
EDIT - Due to popular demand, the event deadline has been extended to the 24th. No more extensions, so get your submissions in!

I've been thinking a lot about the way I'd like to turn my game.
The only things I did since the beginning:
- Changing the windowskin color to white
- Editing the VXA default scripts to remove unnecessary options in menus (no equipment, no skills, etc.)
Now my priority is to make the main character!

My picture's too good to give this a pass.
But I got a free evening on Wednesday and possibly free Thursday next week. I should have little more time the week after but I also should wrap up school projects as it's the last week of the semester. And I can't omit parties.
I haven't even got time to see Avengers or Beach Bum yet.
That said I have ideas. I scrapped together notes for Left Behind 2 and started writing it again. Last time, I turned it into a Fairy Tale and it didn't click together quite right. I got stuck on graphic and the game never made it to engine properly. This time, both theme and picture fitting. I'm only worried I'm getting too close to Three Roses. I have concept art for characters from the previous attempt and I still want to make some custom graphics or at least recolour FF rips to look more damned. I need to come up with some good puzzles (on paper) and some proper riddles. My word is jeopardy, so it's rather easy to fit.

Right now, my main concern is mapping the main dungeon of the game. I've a few floors already, which is good. However, I loathe the task of mapping, and the progress is slow.
Though, supposing I do a map a day, if my plans about this dungeon pans out, I can still make it with a few days to smooth things out?
*Edit: Am I a terrible person for considering to take a page from A Half-and-Half Affair, and it's CHEAT BEAM concept? Probably.

The flashlight doesn't have infinite power. Darkness will get closer the time passes by. Collect batteries to raise the light's radius.

Welp, if it is any consolation to you, I am starting my project today, so you're leagues ahead of me. Just keep working as best you can on your project and you'll certaintly make something cool for the deadline!

Illy answered this on the Discord chat, it's submitted with the event locker, so you just upload the package to the event page. (via the submit button above)
That doesn't stop you making a game page before, during or after if you want to.
