WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT RIGHT NOW?

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Delsin, you might like Va11-HALLA. It has robot waifus. >.<)b
Oh, how good is Va11-HALLA?
It's been hovering around my steam store for awhile but the price tag is over my experimental margin (frikin exchange rates makes everything cost triple)

VA-11 HALL-A is five minutes of simon says gameplay, and six hours of visual novel. The art is really pretty, but unanimated. The story has very engaging dialogue and characters, but almost no action. You just sit in a bar and listen to people tell very engrossing stories about their lives, which occasionally intersect.

It breaks the "show, don't tell" mantra to a degree that I'm not sure I've ever seen before, in that it's a story about people telling stories, and those stories themselves are often about them reading or writing stories (because a big chunk of the plot is about an editorial newspaper). It still managed to keep my interest for about an hour because the writing and art are way better than they deserve to be for such a terrible game premise.

You can probably just watch a let's play on Youtube and get the full experience, since, uh, there's almost no gameplay.

Funnily enough, you only hear a lot about the Newspaper guy if you ace the newspaper guys drinks. I noticed in my own playthrough he came around about three times total, but in someone else's LP he was there twice. I also didn't nail a certain person's drink and they didn't return again.

Certain customers come and go depending on how well you do. The main plot is about the main character and her interactions with the clientelle and her dealing with ghosts of her past.

The character models are all animated, however, as are the backgrounds. The gameplay itself is mostly standard VN, but there's a minigame drink creation thing (and it's pretty simplistic, but you do have the option of getting people drunk off their face when possible). There's a few other interactions like picking music, browsing your in-game mobile phone, purchasing items to fit your home out with, saving up to pay bills (in fact, not saving enough does change the ending of the game) and a few other odds and ends. It's rather subdued gameplay, but a step above most VNs that provide interaction by going "pick an option".

Honestly, the game is more about the characters and setting than anything else. It's worth getting in my book as it is one of the few VNs that is set in a neo-olde world, with very good writing, neat characters and has something to do besides only ever reading. Also, the music is the bomb-diggity.

But, you know, check out the start of an LP and see if you like the style (or wait for a sale on steam (I did ;p)).

esby if you want to protest porn, use porn. i had cropped parts of balthier fucking his dad for a while when other people had avatars i didn't feel were terrible sfw/appropriate. it's like a game of phallic chicken

I think that'd be what he's complaining about my avatars doing and thus be against the grain for him. Honestly, as long as you don't see anything suggestive, there's no problem? As for Katt avatars, they just show faces. I don't see how a flirty face is suggestive beyond being flirty. Now if there were, uh, liquid dripping from it that'd be highly suggestive, but I mean, a cocked eyebrow could be considered suggestive, but then some people would say that a smile would be too.

Also, I'm pretty sure Esby is just trolling as normal, guys, and not being serious. He likes to give me a jokingly hard time by pretending to press buttons.

Its ok, Cazzy...I smiled.

We need someone to draw Libby-Katt portrait, blushing heavily, lots of sweat and water pouring down her face, little floaty hearts, and a happy pant-grin-smile. (If asked Katt won a game of jacks in the sauna. Her prize is like a years supply of chocolate, man.)
Let's not. >.<;
I probably wouldn't use it anyway. Like I said, I do try to use only faces that aren't completely pervy. There's a few that are flirty and one or two with blushes (though due to innocent reasons) but the ones that are taken from pervy images (and they're honestly not as pervy as you're all thinking) are very hard to tell. They honestly just look like normal faces because, hey, I only use the ones that do look like normal faces. Deliberately. I don't want sticky-faced Katt as an avatar. That's just... ew?

Always go for the cute or badass! That's my motto!

New thread idea: Make an Erotic Edit of the Avatar of the Person Above You

...I would do it if I thought there was any chance it wouldn't get immediately super-locked
I say more sexual avatars. Being touchy about sex with children always seemed a little silly to me if you're not advocating juvenile sex with people, uh, not juvenile. (Joking about the more sexual avatars though >.> I'd rather not have to explain the sex organs on my screen to anyone looking over my shoulder)

I guess I do technically still count as a kid though. >.< Unless we consider 18 adult?? :D I can't drink or rent a car but~

It's okay, Caz, I thought it was delightful.
Though I can't believe I missed the opportunity for puns because I had gone to bed. I mean, normally I can do that in my sleep. At least pianotm and Red_Nova got my back.

Heh, that's just because you live in the wrong country. As far as I can see, you're more mature about many things than quite some people who technically count as adults.
