"Ah, that's too bad..." Minty looks disappointed. She'll get over it. Jeff doesn't object, though. Anyway, now that you have your flower, Jeff attempts to usher you out. "Out with you now!" he's taking you to the assembly! Oh no! No one's allowed out until it's over either! You try to explain but he doesn't listen! Suddenly, Minty takes out a tazer and tazes Jeff! He becomes more compliant after that.

Jeff is getting a bit shaky. You can tell he's not sure what to make of you. You try to ease his mind. "Jeff, sorry we had to do that. We're doing something extremely important, and I think you can give us a big hand here. Minty is sorry too."
"I am? HURGH" Minty starts, before you elbow her in the ribs. A little revenge for your inventions always being tested one ME.
"Anyway, Jeff, I'm assuming you've detected some odd things about the Academy lately, haven't you?" Cautiously intrigued, he nods. "Well, we need a way to track where they're coming from. Do you have anything like that? How did you notice them? Do they all gather somewhere?"
He becomes a bit startled, before saying "Funny you should mention that..." He pulls out a a short blade with blood on it, and backs away from you, "Because that's becoming a really popular topic today."

What a plot twist! Not really-I was hoping that tazing Jeff would lead to the hero beating the crap out of him-and his little dog too!

I dunno, combat is always a little hard to do in these text adventure affairs. But, since we don't have a parser to argue with, I can't really say for sure
I'll be happy as long as I just get a few details of the fight-just enough for me to fill in the rest and make it look epic. Or Minty could kiss him and strange things would ensue. (Not those kinds of things...!)

You plead your case with Jeff, who seems to be growing... angry? Dark mist and evil energy surround him. Uh-Oh! He's transforming into a Shadow Being!

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Well, since you've got some shadow in you, you MUST be able to use some form of magic. You do your best to concentrate, but it doesn't work. Jeff takes an accurate stab at you-it's teeming with magic! Minty tazes him again giving you enough time to try again. You feel helpless then suddenly dark menacing lethally sharpened mop handles tipped with poison appear. You throw them at him with amazing speed. Minty tazes the last one and electrifies it, burning Jeff horribly. On his last leg he turns tiny and attempts to crawl away. His dog (who is apparently named Rex by his tags) gobbles him up. You look to where you were stabbed-there's no blood, but some black stuff on your clothes. Is...this your blood now?
"Ahhhh! Look, Rudy! He's so cute! Let's take him with us!" Minty practically screeches in your ears

You watch Rudy tuck thedog under his arm like a boss, dig around in his pants and flip up his retro nokia up to his ear. The conversation begins. "Yello. Oh, hey ma, what's up, kinda in a-. No, I haven't eaten lunch yet. No, ma, I'm going to eat it, I've just been-." You feel this might take a while, so you decide to look around the Paranormal Investigation Club proper.

West is the hall to the other class rooms, there is no other doors. The blackboard is covered in theories about ancient pyramids, and ghost siting around the city. There seems to be s special section about the Academy. A member, Lyle Hamburg, had been stalking the school at night looking for evidence of ghosts. He got a few strange blobs of heat off of his IR Camera. It doesn't say where though - maybe you'll have to find lyle and ask him.
"-om, I'm not just doing this because my brother was also in th-. Yes bu... No Minty is... O-Okay. Ugh, Mom, I have to go. CLICK. Ugh."

Minty stares at Rudy with hungry, furious eyes, as he munches his sandwich in that silence that only satisfaction provokes. "Ah, that feels better...! Hey, Minty, how about following that blood trail? it might lead us to one of those shadows the Academy seems to be infested with. Though I would really like to get rid of that black stuff on my clothes first. Whatever it is, it looks horrible!" Minty stares at him in that other silence that only anger and frustration provoke, grabs thedog, and finally mutters "Black stuff.. yourself... Eat it, Mister "every-one-else-can-starve-for-all-I-care"!"
